    unless a very serious cut where muscle has been damaged i dont think you need vets, just keep it clean has skycat as said. people get ripped of by vets i will only take my dog to a vets in a serios case its common sence how to keep a cut clean most dogs will do most the work there selfs, and i think a lot of local vets hasnt got a clue when it comes to lurchers, a friend had a dog that came over ill one day he took it to local vets they had it for 2 weeks all tests scans and anti biotics it looked like touch and go but pulled though they couldnt work out why, a bone man seen the dog 3months l

    how she bred? any saluki in her? she seems to have plenty of wind and hung back well no over shooting or nothing like you se from some fast breeds.

    theres some big land round oxford area some is very stoney though, but alot is like that around that area and wantage, salisbury. depends what game your pursuing but i no theres plenty of long ears. atb

    some of them can get you like that, i tried every thing with one bitch i had but couldnt get her right, once she was of lead she was of, but the saluki bitch i had before her wouldnt leave my side and naturaly retrieved, and the two i got now are quite obidient, not a collie cross by any means but they stay with me and come back most of the time lol, atb.

    I heard he threw them a bit to steady, did yours have a bit of speed about it the dog i got now direct out of dan aint got the quickest take off but once hes at top speed hes there with them all the way, i wouldnt call him steady, i had a bitch that he was grandsire of both sides and she was fast but she would over shoot somtimes, she ran like a grehound with more wind, but she was to head strong allways wanted to hunt up and i couldnt get her to come back if she missed a hare, head down and she was off.

    Cheers mate, hes just finished a course of tablets and the advocat is aplied once a month for three months, ive not done nothing with him for a week im just gonna give him plenty of grub and rest, his seasons and mines over now, are just have to se how he goes next year, a few people told me to get rid of him once they had it they was finished, but i like the dog so are give to next season to se if hes ok to work.

    Took my dog out for a run and wasnt himself so took him to vets and they reckon its lung worm, but the vet said probally caught it early so might be ok. hes had antibiotics and advocot. is there anbody on here who has had them recover to full fitness or is it the end for him? hes only just turned 2 and seems ok in himself but when i took him out last week he seemed to have lost abit of strengh and was breathing very heavy, so walked him next day bout 2 mile and seemed to be panting when shouldnt be, hes saluki saturated and usually has plenty of wind, im abit sick bout this its a bad end to th

    when i seen buddy in the flesh i thought he had the widest chest i seen on a dog, very strong and he seems to chuck well built pups like himself.

    i had a dog that would kill the first 2 and then jack for no reason what so ever, i found this dog running a main road in salisbury black and tan a picture of a dog, but had been left for that reason i geuss. wasnt dogs fault just didnt have it in him, gave him to a pet home.
