Why ???? was it youself ??? it was a chap named derek webster . patting the dogs on the back 3 times then watching them walk is not wat i call lurcher judging This Thread has recieved quite a lot of views and replies all in defense of the Judge Derek Webster I think that says a lot about the man and his standard of judging,as I have said previously it is all to easy to sit behind a keyboard and critisise. The person who initially started this thread Lakielad what is your experience of judging or Lurchers, put a photo up of yours so we can a look at the calibre of the dogs yo

Glad You put this thread up one of the things that is new to our show this Year, will be Lurcher obedience,I personally think it is a good thing,it shows how trainable & adaptable a lurcher can be I would like to ask a further question in what would You suggest the set tasks should be i.e. retrieving walking to heel of the lead,

Dont think ill bother this year. does anyone know who last years photographer was? apart from being a craken bit of stuff she took some gorgeous pix of my lil lurcher. Dont know what Your affiliation with last Years Photographer is surely that is not the only reason You go to a show for, but as I said nothing personal, and You reckon the team that do the Welsh Game Fair are not good enough You are having a laugh. -

Dont Know Derek Webster and I didn't go to the show, and see what was picked and what wasnt, but I feel I have to comment on this thread. First and foremost if anyone had a problem with his judging why didn't they either tell him or the show organiser,AT THE SHOW why wait to slag him off behind a keyboard,I myself have judged many a show never been paid never want to be except a bottle of whisky and I gave it back to the organiser for a raffle prize.I enjoy after the show if anyone asks why I didn't pick their dog explaining why particularly Youngsters, but I would not be prepared to do it on

His mother would hunt sheep in woods that were down or injured and bay on them like a hound until you found her,he his brother son and father will run and catch lambs up to 45kilos without marking them, but he is a bit of a b*****d with strangers. The one day two strangers come on to the yard looking at the German shepherds barking at them in the kennels and he shot out form the back of the truck and bit one on the ass
