  11. I would like to go along with what has already been said in that a Judge can never see the Heart of a dog when its been coursing a rabbit, or something else until it lungs are nearly bursting,or how much pain its prepared to endure when faced with charlie down some deep wet cliff face.Or how long it will stay alert waiting for a bolt in driving freezing rain. However no matter what we think lurcher and terrier shows big or small, play an important role within the countryside in promoting the good side of fieldsports. I have probably been judging and involved with running several shows, racing
  12. Point to the nearest Gypsy camp and say you bought it from there, then see how far they get.Shithouses they will keep bothering you if you admit to anything.
  13. You better had We just bought a new mower for the race track when I finished mowing it will be like wimbledon
  14. More dogs than our local hunt No wonder the Chinese are so skinny there is f"""k all left to eat once the w"nking pack finish with them
  15. That is a nice looking dog how is she bred
  16. Totally agree as you can see from my post, when all other methods fail or you inherit a problem dog,it was the only time I have had to use one, however a good tool if used correctly. When You have a dog from a puppy You should not have to use one of these providing You have spent the time TRAINING it properly, unfortunately not everyone spends enough time training there dog,and wonder why it fails, and ends up being past from pillar to post.If having to use one of these means that cuts down on that,I would personally prefer the later.
  17. As long as the kennel is draught proof and dry,I bought a whippet from Cambridge when I brought him home the weather was that bad I called him storm,He was always kennelled outside, different people have different preferences but I kennel all mine outside, one or two will come into the house from time to time.
  18. Typical Knee jerk ban it without knowing what its about reaction I was given a hell of a good guard dog German Shepherd The only problem was he to a taste to sheep ,and he was a demon at it,talk about a problem as we were running 2,500 sheep then.and he was shit hot around the Yard, tried all the old and trusted methods, problem was he was three Year old when we had him and I think he had done it before, coming up to lambing it was major headache, come to the point of the big farm in the sky or else, seen the add for the collars and bought one followed the instructions to the letter,a Month late
  19. Only certain products can be bought over the counter at say your local agri merchant, that might be ok to knock over a few rats or mice,When you buy it it doesnt teach You about the biology of rodents, or give you the experience of meeting likeminded profesionals you would meet on a course,Why do You think so many DIYers fail Lack of training and knowledge, training and exams like these = Cost Effective Pest Control sounds like a good add slogan I could go out tomorrow and buy a electronic test meter wouldn't have a clue how to use it.
  20. Here is My opinion I have probably attended most of the Game fairs in England and Wales, with one or Two exceptions,Without doubt the Welsh is the best,in that its layout is spot on,short walk from the car park to everything, alongside the river with fishermans row,the Terrier and Lurcher Show is absolutely massive in the quality and quantity of dogs it attracts, the only downside is that there can be queues going in if You catch it wrong, gone for the last Twenty Years and will be at this Years.
