  1. yes should take him out with ferrets if he isn't broken to them
  2. take her ferreting if possible, home the hunting, make her crazy for rabbit atb huntingryan
  3. never done anything like that just handled them a lot but tried it with this Jill i got given about a year ago and it just made her more angry:)still not the tamest ferret ever
  4. russell mate my flushes anything caught a partridge once i know that's not what you want but still impressed me,i take her out on the pheasant shout with me the keeper and me dad see does everything my dad cocker does dear i say a bit better except retrieving.and she's learn't to stay the right distance so anything that she flushes can be shot.

  12. the ones on the farm what my dad works on they are taking a remarkable amount of pheasants so crack down will start when i get home in two weeks, took two this year and there's still about 5 left before i started hunting on this permission the gamekeeper sorted out 11 in one month all living in old pig sheds
  13. i must of got lucky with salukix then mines greycolliexsaluki fast as an other lurcher and he doesn't plod about goes full speed at what ever he is chasing this may be because of the ground i hunt on has to catch rabbit quick or they are gone to ground. and his obedience is spot on

  15. Had a few bad experiences with them my self. Been on hot ground before , and the dog starts doin laps around a 50 acre field when it misses something, ignoring any comand. And only seen a handfull that wont kill a ferret,but there are very few around my area as they have little use. So cant judge all.. not having ago or anything mine plays with the ferrets it just early introduction as soon as i got him i started introducing him to them(3 months old)
