The Gap Is Closing In On The Hunting Ban
desertbred replied to cocker's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Though these two are MEP,s and deal with European issues they are still elected in the UK and members of Political parties they are not free spirits in Europe they still project labour policy or what ever party they represent. Going by their response and their referal to the Labour parties rural manifesto they obviously support the Hunting act but are not courageous enough politically to nail their colours to the mast. This doesnt bode well forr any European negotiations does it.The manifesto means it wont be a free vote for MP,S as labour have already revealed they wont support a repeal this -
Labour have made their intentions clear they are head stuck in the sand, Tony Blair their exleader ,who brought about this legislation by underhand methods agrees it was ill thought out and unenforceable he made plenty of other dodgy decisions even lumbering the country with his deputy Brown. The labour party are so intent on fecking this country totally they are willing to support idiotic failed legislation such as the Hunting with Dogs Act talk of the blind leading the Blind, They are anti public and are a bigger liability to this country than any other political party.

Good point when its repealed if the antis and lacs start the threats and intimidation accompanied with personal physical violence we will demand action be taken against them under the famous Blair Parlimentary Act dodge

This is the response I received this morning from Graham Stringer MP for labour is it any wonder they lost the election even he cant respond on an official Letter head. I have just checked with my Daughter who is studying to become a Barrister she informs me that. The House of Lords voted against the Hunting with dogs Act 2004, and in order to get the law passed the Labour Government used a little known or used Parliamentary Act 1911 amended in 1949 to by pass the House of Lords for a second reading. So my MP has again in his response to me ( third paragraph) tried to bull shit the elector

if they dont reply the website gives them poor feedback so its in their own interest to reply

No you would still need permission to go on Private land to hunt but you wouldn,t be persecuted for being a dog owner in a rural environment

This is where politicians go through the slips, they talk of referendums if you phrase the question in the right context you can easily sway the uninitiated or the ones with no concept of country sports. If I put the Question" would you like the hunting ban repealed to allow the wholesale slaughter of woodland creatures" we all know what the result would be if it was rephrased as" Would you vote for a repeal of the hunting with dogs Act in order to allow controlled and proven pest control activities to be undertaken" it may well be a vote for repeal also if costs to the Tax payer of maintain

I have them to match my head, some have feathered to match their Rod Stewart haircuts and some have wooly dogs to match their Afros (usually the Southern lads )

Mr Darcy has given you a very good direction you can also point out that mink are roaming free due to the over zealous anti hunting and lacs releasing them into the wild from legitimate business enterprises when the fur trade was allowed. The Dog Act restricts lots of countryside activity both sporting , economic and conservational. Tell her the fox hunting was the one the anti country sports destroyers choice to paint in an extremely bad light by actually staging dramas and showing all types of things out of context even a lawful activity such as gardening can be shown in a totally differ

Correct feathered and smooth I would be a bit wary of wooly coated though

Try to find yourself a good experienced dog man for hands on training much better than trying to teach yourself. it also gets you known for getting out with your dog in future atb.

you could write to your SNP MP asking they abide by their pledge to not vote on English laws and to abstain as promised.

Point out that these field drivers gate crashers , thieves are not the genuine hunting fraternity it would be wrong for him to vote away centuries old traditions because of a handful of anti social elements who cause problems in society in general not soley in the Rural communities.Point out that hunters are country and wildlife conservationists also and often assist farmers in land management on a voluntary basis -

The election is a completely seperate issue. Some people may vote for a party because of a single issue or manifesto promise but I would imagine most cast a vote based on a wide range of issues -

Its to be assumed the BASC and Countryside Alliance are already strongly involved in the Repeal activities, It is a fact that lots off lads for one reason or another are not in groups and associations but it does not mean they are any less passionate in getting this Ban repealed. Unity is great to ensure maximum support but every individuals support and input is just as important or may be even more so than the big associations as it is individuals who support these groups.also -
