The Gap Is Closing In On The Hunting Ban

My MP is Labour I asked him months ago had his opinions changed at all since he voted for the Ban in 2004 he replied" No" I asked him in an open vote for repeal how would he vote he said with his conscience and no repeal. Yesterday I contacted my local councillors some Labour and some Conservative the majority said they wanted repeal in the light of present evidence and with hindsight the law was wrongly introduced and they would be contacting our Labour MP to inform him of their views and feelings.Lets see if they can pressure the MP to represent the peoples views instead of his own . -
You cannot ban a way of life. The powers that be or the laws and restrictions placed on peoples ,ways of life, traditions and customs may change. Sometimes for the better with the benefit of hindsight, but when draconian laws are passed ,without peoples rights to choose then it is a slippery slope. Trying to impose the writ of the few in all walks of life leads to abuses look at different Government policies that have been introduced without full and proper considerations of the consequences and how they will affect different communities groups and regions. The Hunting ban may appear to have

why dont you go and try to close another thread you obviously dont understand figurative speech do you.

wouldnt suprise me in the least, what are the little white things used in fishing maggots ? You couldnt win your referendum so no great loss to this campaign would be my guess

good for you do you even hunt or just write about it? I dont loose sleep over anything, I have permissions enough for me where I can hunt within the law, but I also have principles and something that is unfair needs to be rectified in any walk of life or in this case sport . in order to take part in a activity that has gone on for thousands of years in one guise or another I now run the risk of being criminalised every time I go out even with guns or dogs and birds if a wild life officer spots me retrieving my dogs of land where I dont have permission and they have strayed or if my dogs kill

Originally the ban was going to be fox hunting on horse back. Then it went to organised coursing then to the hunting with dogs act but yes your right it will never happen to fishing,
-
I dont know anyone who got something for sitting on a fence only splinters
-
As some one said its going to be sooner than later so get E=mailing your Mps writing to your local papers and lets get a London March organised we cant sleep the lacs and antis wont be.

Lads in the 60,s wouldnt have thought hunting with dogs would be banned, in the 70,s and ,s battery hens, factory farms were the best thing since sliced bread until the tree huggers and antis got them in their sights. Fishing may appear safe but already they are restricting how often trawlers can put to sea using the excuse sustainable fish stocks, seal hunting has been restricted, whale hunting is vitually stopped so its not a done deal on any sporting or even food related activity as far as antis are concerned. access to waterways needs permission and licences so it isnt a given right to fis

Now angling is being subjected to the same unfair legislation as certain forms of hunting the more this happens the closer the day comes to total ban on all recreational sports that groups decide are not acceptable its coming close to a totalitarian state.
-
That is one of the reasons the ban may be lifted on the basis the law is unenforceable also police resources are being reduced so the wastage of helicopter flights 4 /5 or more cars tied up for hours chasing lads for running a bit of fur, resources are tight and Chief Constables will have higher priority matters to allocate their reduced resources to and is hunting a serious criminal matter to warrant the attention and resources squandered on it, license it and get some much needed revenue generated.
-
Polls had Milliband winning most are run by tree huggers anyway get ready for the battle this is only the first salvo., hare coursing is showed two or more dogs catching a trapped hare 90% of the public only have a lacs view of what hunting is and not its benefits for conservation and wildlife protection.

I am certain that plenty of Scots and Irish hunters have relatives and friends living in England they could ask to support the repeal of this unjust and unworkable law.
-
SNP said they will abstain as the ban in Scotland was introduced two years before England.. We still need the support of the Scots lads and the Irish lads in order to keep the pressure on for a repeal.
-
This is only the first salvo , lads still need to write to their respective MP,s get your friends relatives associates to write also even get templates printed and just get them to put their name and address on. The London gathering needs organising now for maximum participation and publicity , the lacs will be on fire now so lets get it together and take back our rights to participate in our country pursuits, without being criminalised and threatened over our sporting pass times.Any ladson other forums try to galvanise unity in the different activities and ask those that tend to post stuff o
