  5. Chicken stock can be a bit funny, can go sour very quickly. You should freeze home mad stock in ice-cube trays or bags. Just take them out as needed from frozen very handy!

  9. is there a pic of the lynx? No pics mate its in the letters section, i cant seem to find either edition on the web site either to post link. He also says that a Scottish farmer called Ted Noble trapped a puma in 1980 which was put into a wildlife park. that guy ray mears believes that there is big cats in scotland and england,im not so sure like, but suppose its not impossible for cats to have escaped from private owners.i would just think there would be more sightings from keepers and ghillies. True, the lady does ask in the original article why none have been flushed by beaters

  13. In the 8th September issue of shooting times a article called Mysterious Sightings goes on to debunk the sightings of big cats. She basically says they don't exist, anything that has been seen was all a trick of the mind fueled by the "old country boys" telling tall tales. In this weeks issue a man goes onto say in the letters that many have been shot, trapped and found dead at the side of the road. He gives names and dates for some examples, including a RUC officer who shot a lynx in 1996.

Classy guy. What a toss pot!
  15. I should have added that I've never left a rabbit in the field.
  16. Good thread! Louis Therouix's programme about hunting in south Africa was on a Irish channel last night it looks like its basically shooting in a zoo, however once the animal had been shot it was quickly dressed for the photo (exit wound not facing camera, entry wound rubbed with dirt to cover blood etc), as the hunters said for them it was all about the photo to go with the trophy, remembering the moment as it was a once in a life time experience. It shows great respect for the beast to dress it for the photo. I also agree with Maltenby as regards respect for the animal, however for me it c
  17. Best off luck mate!! I'm sure see is every bit as excited as you are! In years to come when she is older and starts to ask questions i'm pretty sure she will see what a bag her mother is being! I went out with a girl from Manchester a few years ago who had originally come from London with her mother to "get away" from her dad. A very similar story to yours in fact, but when it all came out in the wash and she could see what a c&*t her mother had been towards her dad, she moved straight back to London to be with him. Chin up though mate i know it cant be easy but keep your side of the stree

  20. thats no problem, IN FRANCE!!!! We should eat more fresh water fish in the UK but on lakes were fish are stocked for catch and take or the owners give their agrement to fish being taken. Other wise gas the feckers! What i was getting at, was that, other foreign people live here as well as the poles and eat fish.... stereo typing again.. In all due respect mate i don't think it's stereo typing. It has happened over here too. They have cleared out a lake that i know of of pike and are always getting caught in a couple of villages near to me with bags of fish for the pan,and load

    Horse s**t

The man i got my pup off told me before that if the dog came across a interesting smell he would roll in it so he could take it with him all day!?!? Could be a load of old shi£e. But he does roll in everything. Fox s$%t is the worst (so far) Bread soda rubbed into his coat before a wash gets rid of most of the bad stench.
