  1. With or without collars on if it's going to happen it will, last Sunday was out with the Busher and a runner and fast moving game was flushed and the runner impailed herself on a wooden stake when hitting the cover, this on a Sunday was very expensive but thankfully she going to be ok, just.
  2. The twigs that would fit under his collar usually come out still under his collar, something that small that will fit he snaps it and I pull it out when I eventually see him.
  3. This is the difference between a small whippet and a whippet of say 21"+ the standard whippet if fast but the longer back on a larger dog creates a longer stride therefore faster, but loses out in a turn to a smaller whippet, a smaller whippet can turn much more sharply and hold more speed in a turn. For me I have two 18" whippets both bitches, one from coursing lines and one from race, now given that there both the same size would expect the catching capabilities of both dogs to be the same, but there not the race bred dog is much quicker in a straight line and will put a turn in its quarry
  4. Probably nothing a Stafford couldn't do really, but still like the look of them.
  5. Don't think the protection work is a very good idea for a hunting dog though, but you get to see its movement.
  6. Think the line by all accounts is 7 generations in, hunting, protection dogs.
  7. Yea like naming the dog breed in your own name has never been done before. :-) It's not a breed it's just a crossbred. I don't mind what they call them as long as they can do the job.
  8. Yea like naming the dog breed in your own name has never been done before. :-)
  9. I've only just found Renterriers, why Den terriers marshman.
  10. Has anybody seen or have experience of Renterriers, Pitt x Patts. In US, if you have what were your thoughts, I like the look of them.
  11. was she not directly out of phsyco? Yes sorry mate its my illiterate scrawl, should read, small staff down from physco blood.
  12. Sorry, I contacted D to ask the same question about the bull blood in them and that was my understanding of it, was it some of Nuttals stuff used with Tess. ds.
  13. Beene. http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=398066
  14. One eyed tests was a small staff down for phyco blood, she was owned by R Booth and loaned to D Wheeler as a foundation Bitch for his line and they were bred back with Beenie blood who was an Irish Staff to start his line. Have a pic of Beenie somewhere I'll dig it out, Irish staffs were bred for work.
  15. They were started out of this bitch, One eyed Tess, with added Phyco and Beanie blood.
  16. what brown dog would that be? all joking aside he is a lovely animal but...... Sorry terrier police, took him down for you so as not to offend,
  17. Hey bryanm45,Thats a beautiful dog, which breeder did that come from? Do you have the contact details? Cheers He doesn't breed them anymore, this was posted in Jul 2013, he's two years old now mate.
  18. If your getting a terrier and not a X and using it too earth you'll be looking for that terrier all the time, when your out bushing it'll go to earth and it can be frustrating time wise. I use mine for bushing but he is such a lump of a dog that he wouldn't get to enter, I started taking him out as a pup praising him if he followed his nose in, the penny dropped when he caught a mixy in a bush, couldn't stop him then. It's nice when it all comes together terrier bushes and runners catch, good luck with whatever you choose mate.
  19. My two waiting for him to speak on something.
  20. As a first running dog you can't go wrong with a whippet' I would make sure it's a worker, I think you have four dogs so that's enough in the bush to keep your whippet outside for anything coming out
