And a mutual Friend, thanks JCM yours looks a cracker on your page.
  2. I was out with my three yesterday evening, for a mooch and the conditions were cool and damp with a thunder storm about 3 miles away little to no wind, the dogs were running around like nutters there must have been scent everywhere, whereas normally they only track recent scent, has anyone noticed this before, what caused they scent to linger like that.
  3. I have a terrier that's not gone to ground, it would need to be a pretty large hole to get him in, he bushes, rats and ferrets. Great with other dogs aswell.

    My Lad

I was concerned when I got him if he would be able to keep up with us when out for a mooch, now it have to keep on top of him to keep him back with me, he's not got bad pace for a muscle bound terrier. He brought out two young Bunnys last night with mixy, which we didn't need around here as the numbers were just recovering from all the rain we had end of last year.

    My Lad

Just over a year old now Gaz and not gone to ground yet, but I do keep a spade handy, it would need to be a large hole to get those shoulders through. Wasn't you offering him at stud other day??? Wait till dog older mate Yea Leegreen was looking for a Terrier spaniel stud dog but had no response so offered as an option if he was desperate but sourced a dog local to him.

    My Lad

Here's some pics of my bushing Patterdale, loves to be out working, tireless, game but good with all dogs he's worked with, he's a big lad at 15" and 13kg but very strong through cover, does anyone else have anything like this working, The Runners
  8. Just over a year, he picked up bushing of my black whip and I encouraged it, lovely natured dog can work with all the dogs on the shoot, he's been coming beating with me since he was 8 months, keeper likes him as he's great in blackthorn, he's pegged a couple but he moves so fast through cover they can't get out fast enough, doesn't retrieve yet but will leave when you tell him, and one of the spaniels usually pick up after him, you can loose him if he flushes muntjac, but you can hear where he goes and he makes his way back in the line returning on the whistle. Keeper tolerates this as he's a
  9. I have a Terrier you could use if you like, but abit of the chunky side weighs 13kg at 15"tts, bushes well on anything and comes beating with me on local shoot, vocal, tireless, good nose just he's chunky, but no spaniel in him, maybe abit of bully.
  10. Have a terrier if you would like to try him.
  11. One hour in the morning then a mooch around the fields with abit of bushing along hedge bottoms and take in a wood or two for two or three hours. Racing or coursing at the weekend of if no events on big mooch.
  12. I know a lot of you don't race and some workers frown upon it but this is the fawn at a racing trial, in theory both these dogs were supposed to overtake her to see how she reacts, but they didn't have anything fast enough to go past her. To say I had a cheesy grin was abit of an understatement.
  13. More pics of me bushers. The rest of the runners patt
  14. Too many nettles now, unless you can show it a bunny in cover I would leave it and let it find it's place in the pack.
  15. when you see that pat of yours againat a whippet.you get a better idea of just how big he is! Both whippets are 18"tts, the black one bushes as well if it's slow going, fawn whippet stays at my feet until she hears the yapping, the Patt is a lump at about 13kg but is tireless constantly running nose to ground, wouldn't mind putting some sort of GPS tracker on him to see how much more distance he does.
  16. 2 runners (whippets) and two bushers (patt and Welsh)
  17. I only use him for bushing, he does it very well, I know he's too big for earth work but I can still read the posts about it, and he does take a good pic. Thanks.
  18. Nice bitch Tim, do you know what she weighed, my lad is 15" and 12 months. Looks abit bully but from two working Patterdales, seems to be a lot of this type around at the mo.
  19. His weight is mostly muscle, he's very strong.
  20. Fit looking terrier, credit to you for keeping him in great condition. Probably asked already but what weight is he? Just over 13kg at about 15"tts
  21. Him about 10 weeks old. 6 Months old. now just 12 months old. above pic and this one.
