  1. this is the gray i had when i was a kid, did everything i ever wanted him to. never had a dog again after he passed away until now. this is the only pic i have of him. rip jet.
  2. youll love it mate. i started back with the rifles a couple of years ago, then back into the ferrets now got a dog again. once you start you carnt stop lol. im out on monday with a couple of lads. i was hoping to get out tomorrow but no one to go with! anybody fancys a few hours out tomorrow give me a shout lol, all the gear is ready to go just need somewere to go! i bet you have to buy some more ferrets soon!
  3. pm me mate, dont want nowt for them as long as you dont want a wagon full every week! lol they dont cost me nowt and its not hard to get them it only cost me a little time to go chop them up and collect them.
  4. which ones mate? if you want anything like that and can come and collect the day i get it i can get you some from work. its just a matter of catching the boning room lads to keep me some back. i have to pay for pig heads as there pritty tight at work but bones, trotters and the such i can normally lay my hands on. even get sheep carcases from time to time and the lads are pretty poor some days and leave a good amount of meat on the bones! i much prefer lamb for dogs which is why mine have a main diet of lamb heart.
  5. why carnt no one in the north east want a day out lol. im stuck for something to do tomorrow.
  6. try it all mate, visit as manny as you can, write letters just do what you can. be polite, print out some cards. ive been to places before and had to leave my details, it alot easier to have them on a card ready then have ppl looking around for pens and paper.
  7. as long as whats inside can handle the extra voltage. i got a couple of 8fts but wouldent dare try it cause there not so cheap to replace if it blows something.
  8. i get mine from work, just roast them whole and give them to the bulls, the pup gets roast ears. its just me but i never feed pork raw. i also get beef brisket bone and beef ribs once a week. the brisket bones are great, tough enough to munch on but soft enough to eat the lot, loads of meat on them and alot of fat.
  9. i have the 5 in the picture forsale again. the lad has pulled out so there here again. ive pm`d a couple of ppl who were asking but carnt remember who else asked. there £46 for 5 posted. there is actually 4 good horns and one with a small hole drilled threw it im throwing in.
  10. i have 5 or 6 black wool nets in my bag. i actually prefer them as long as there nice clean holes. they get snagged very easily on brambles and such.
  11. every pup ive ever had has been on BETA puppy with raw meat and alittle fresh veg minced up. never had a problem.
  12. non at the moment mate, xmas and new year an all that. not much going on at work.
  13. alright jenky mate ,how much for 17amp /22amp .don,t think anything smaller would run my blitz youde have to link 2 together to give you 19.6AH, the 9.8 is the biggest i can find. just needs abit more research as this one says 30w out put, no good to run a 100w bulb.
  14. 9.8AH lithium battery pack, was going to try one but never got round to it yet. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CCTV-Camera-Rechargeable-Lithium-ion-Battery-12V-9800mA-/350308830968?pt=UK_CCTV&hash=item5190088ef8#ht_2842wt_778 just read it now says 30w discharge rate, never said that when i was looking at them a while ago. was going to get 2 anyway so that would allow you 60w of bulb.
  15. im sure i read there not recommended for anything bigger then a 50w bulb?
  16. we use 2 of these in a back pack. lasts us all night. 9ah but the same size as 7ah, extra power same weight. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-12v-9AH-Ritar-Lead-Battery-SLA-9-0AH-12-Volt-/110525937612?pt=UK_Computing_Networking_SM&hash=item19bbdbf7cc#ht_1298wt_754
  17. Thats the disease aspect. If they die shortly after birth i'd want to know why? Just weak or something up? Also depends what they are fed, if its an intensive farm they often feed steroids or hormones to pigs so maybe that could be passed on as well? ide be taking notice of this post mate and i personally wouldent risk it for the price of ferret food.
  18. i dont feed raw pork to any of my animals. i know a guy who gets pigs heads from our place and thats all he feeds his dogs, but i just dont. i roast feet and ears every now and then for a treat but thats about it for pork.
  19. feed mine once a day and let them miss aday every now and then. mine are alittle over weight. they do get treats every now and then but not huge amounts.
  20. kitten milk is goats milk. its just cheaper to buy a liter of goats milk rather then the little bottles of kitten milk. feed him as much as he will eat rather then try to judge how much he needs. better to waste then not have enough. mine run and hide food then come back for more, its good for a working ferret cause if you carnt dig then out they leave the dead and go looking for more. which is handy for me as i sometimes have to work sets which are extremely hard digs.
  21. what a raw egg or cooked? raw and fresh is always best.
  22. a fresh egg is alot better then cows milk to give him. if you want to give him milk full fat goats milk is best. mine get lambs heart beef heart dead rabbits anything i shoot fresh fish, sardines, sprats that type of thing, mossisons even sell salmon trimmings whish is good for them dry food only if im being lazy or havent got fresh meat to hand. they get eggs and goats milk for a treat when i feel like they deserve it lol. while out ferreting they always get a bit of liver or kidney to say thanks for doing a good job to eat on the way home.
