    Time and patience. Iv posted a few months ago on another thread along the same lines. Time and patience! Yes you will feel like giving up at times, i did. At the end of the day you have to remember that the average track dog has done 3+ years of ONLY going flat out with a slight curve to the left on dead flat ground. THAT is all they know. They are not ready for a target to stop, do a u turn, turn right, ditches, fences, branches etc laying on the ground, trees and they WILL come unstuck repeatedly on each one (and every other) of these obstacles. BUT they will learn eventually if you are a go

    I was guna use buddy but beef curry told me on phone lines would be too close pal. Im not into making money just want to better my self and when i go on fens wi mi dog it doesnt make me look a c**t or get me pulled whats up wi that pal? You can better yourself AND your dog by working on the one youve got instead of breeding from it and getting rid after taking a pup from it. Learn how to train a dog.

    Its not the extenda lead that is the trick mate, the extenda lead just forces him to do as you are asking. But once he is back to you IT IS THE BACON that convinces him that coming back is worth it

    First of all DONT treat him with any special treatment (letting him on the sofa etc), that will just make the others jealous and a fight will happen eventually. Grill some bacon or sausage, put it in a plastic bag, get an extenda lead. As long as possible. Go for a walk and let him take the lead to full stretch. Call him as you would normally. If he ignores you GENTLY pull him back to you. If you let him ignore you at this point its telling him its ok to ignore you. But dont be to harsh, just pull him back gently calling him again. When he gets to you give him an inch or so square of bacon and

    Thats very true. Years ago, the first time i slipped my old greyhound bitch on a fox she overtook it like a ferrari overtaking a motability scooter! Lol! And as she went over the top of it her head went down and came up again with the fox by the shoulders shaking. As she came to a stop she dropped it and it was stone dead.
