  1. A little trich that was shown to me recently. If it is a deep cut fill a syringe up with hibiscrub then squirt the hibiscrub into the cut. Give it a bit of pressure. This will flush out any debris and clean the cut out nicely. Is the cut on the pad or on top or between the toes?
  2. Its only the pricks that do that mate. Most of us have a brain in our heads and we think and we decide not to give ourselves to the police (or the antis) on a silver plate.
  3. Definately get rid of one of those pups mate. Keep one and turn it into a good dog. Keep both and they will both be c**ts and do your head in and then you will be putting an ad in the countrymans saying "for sale through no fault of there own" and true enough, it will be YOUR fault not theres. Im not beating around the bush because i know you wont listen if i give it to you gently. I doubt you will anyway but for the sake of the pups i hope you do. Now to what age to start the one you keep: take it everywhere with you from the age it is now. When you go ferreting take the pup with you. Whe
  4. Whats the latest with this mate?
  5. When a running dog runs its back legs swing right forward and hit the ground well in front of the dog then power the dog forward. A dog with a "wide chest" cant do that so it will lack speed.
  6. not bein funny mate but had some good nights with the moon out u carnt stay in and keep waitin 4 the right night coz some time u will not get out 4 weeks atb Thats true mate. I have done too but im talking ideal conditions. And he has already said these rabbits are being awkward. I do find it better when its dark as a niggers arse! Lol! Link to weather site i use. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/
  7. Go at a different time. Look what way the winds blowing and approach them by walking INTO it so they cant smell or hear you. Look on bbc weather website and type in your area, look for the wind speed. If its less then 10 mph dont bother going. I like it 15 - 20 mph. A bit of drizzle helps too. Keep tight to the hedgerow and shine out into the field from the hedge. If they are lamp shy its no use shining up the field. They are going to run straight to the hedge when they know somethings up so dont light them up untill you are between them and the hedge. The moons is another important thing. If
  8. Josy stop being a c**t ruining an otherwise decent thread. Old timers giving good advice. Grow up.
  9. Definately dont go cracking your dogs bones willy nilly yourself. Get a proffesional gh man to look the dog over first and if they say it needs it then THEY can do it.
  10. These things happen mate. Cats are stupid creatures and they do like to sit under cars. Normally they scoot when the engines started but if theres dogs getting in the car they could (in this time did) scoot early. And dogs being dogs will chase a scooting cat and if the cat aint quick enough its chireo kitty. It all happened to fast for you to be able to react in time to stop it and the dogs were on a lead. The police might turn up and ask you about what happened. Tell them what i just said and they will send you a letter in a couple of months time saying "no further action" bla bla.
  11. Ash keep me up to date to please mate
  12. I use a normal lead. Put the "neck" part on my wrist, handle part goes through coller and back to my hand. Light on, see target, let go of handle, away goes dog.
  13. Iv used a clusion for ages now and its been good. Its perfect for rabbit work and most work on other stuff too although i find it lacks range when something pops up and runs well. Im planning to get a 170 striker soon for that reason and give it a fair try because my mates told me theyve got better range. Iv been out with him using his one too and it does seem better.
  14. Could thid be her? http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/saluki-x-greyhound/85682763 . Sent you a PM btw.
  15. Trapworks is a good site to try.
  16. No they wont, they will be as dead as their mother. The first one with just its nose sticking out of her jack n danny and the rest behind it.
  17. Back to topic. I would either get the pregnancy terminated or have a vet ready for the birth. Your going to be needing a scalpel to get them out safely.
  18. B far from it just run at everything 100mph couldt stop put him on big land never did settal down shot 20 yards past everthing then had to make up it all over again as they speed to burn saw another run one nite 8 hares 14 rabbits he was a gooden but i think he had a bit of collie in him Probably a dog that was started in the game later on in life. If it sees stuff from a pup and gets the chance to have the odd go (rabbits that slip the net etc) from 6 months or so it shouldnt overshoot. And even if they do in their early days they should learn as they get more experience. Iv seen a f
  19. Do you honestly believe that a Lurcher, (or any breed of dog, for that matter), can show that degree of intelligence.... Remembering the lay of the land, where the quarry will be and where it will run to ???? I despair at some of the things that are said on this site at times ! Cheers. Yes i do. Dogs are a lot more intellegent than a lot of so called dog men think they are. No they cant do algebra but they can certainly suss out where a rabbits going to run if they have seen rabbits run to that same place the last 10 times theyve been there. Maybe you should pay more attention to w

  21. They aint easy but they can be caught. You need a clever dog for golfys. A dog that can remember the lay out of the place, where the rabbits will be and where they will run to when the light goes on and uses that knowledge to good effect. You still wont get big bags on golfys but it can be bloody good fun.
  22. Il have it if you dont want it!
  23. They want to know youve not coursed anything other than rabbits. Foxes are off limits but that doesnt explain searching you. However the random copper wouldnt know there isnt hare or deer in the area unless they are "into" the countryside and its ways too. Another possibility is that they want to check you have permission, if you dont they will do you for poaching. Coupled to that a lot of people including coppers are antis who just want to make life difficult for us every chance they get. Also if burglary is a concern in the area thry will be making sure your motor isnt chocka with tellys and
