Not at all Biggy....you're missing the point. Not all of us think it's a good idea to let our dogs mate indescriminately. You can be responsible and Not let your dogs breed. I'm not advocating heaps of puppies...on the contrary, in my opinion, the only dogs that should be bred from, are dogs of good health, working ability and sound temperament. In summary....if people didn't breed indescriminately....ie: took responsibility for their dogs we'd be in a situation where we have a superb gene pool of working dogs and the need to "cull 'em hard" is redundant. I added cold ethyl because i thought she seemed like a real classy bird. Theres nothing disturbing about my post thats just the way ive been taught and how i think things should be done. Is it just me or is does the general attitude on this forum seem to be slowly turning to it becoming unacceptable to cull failed dogs/excess pups. Im not aiming this at anyone on this particular thread but i keep reading people being slated for saying they would cull any of the previous mentioned dogs. I would rather cull a pup which was surplus to requirements than it go to someone i dont know, therefore dont know how it would be treated, kept, worked and so on. Its the same with failed adult lurchers should they not be culled? after all they were bred as a working dog not a pet. Thats why th

I never said they couldn't prosecute you i said they wouldn't. So no i haven't changed anything. The reason i dont want the police snooping around my house has nothing to do with my animals being well looked after. Perhaps you dont have any experience with the police and working dogs. They can jump to a hell of a lot of conclusions very quickly. This may not stand up in court but it is still a hell of alot of aggro. must be diffrent laws in england to scotland as my mum defo got done and fined. Maybe the police i spoke to just had a bit of common sense then. They said they wouldnt prosecute not that they couldnt. I think i done the best thing informing them myself it showed it was just an accident and saved them coming to my house snooping around.

You wont get prosecuted for your dog killing a cat. I got out my car once and a cat bolted from under my work motor. My lurcher lunged at the cat and pulled the lead out of my hand. He caught it in the street and by the time i got him off it was near enough dead. I put the dog in the house then ran back out to find a small crowd had gathered around the now dead cat. They was threatening to phone the police so i told them i would take the cat to the vet that made them happy even though it was well dead. Been doing it for 22 years, started out as a Sparky, then got a job with the local Electricity board as a Sparks. Transfered to the Overhead and never looked back. Id climb that. It would be a massive buzz once you've done it. It looks to me like he has a piece of climbing rope with an acender so he can just tighten it up one handed. A bit like a strop. I dont see why they free climb it might take a bit longer but f**k me it would be alot safer. The climbing part looks pretty easy though its just like climbing a massive ladder What do the lads who are climbers on here actualy climb for a living?

Being out at night is one of my favourite things. I like how quiet it is and the fact most people are tucked up in bed. I love watching the dogs run and be tested. I love how the quarry runs and outwits the dog. I always admire the quarry and what amazing animals some of them are. I love when you meet a particularly good animal or one that outwits you time and time again and your always happy to catch it but a little bit gutted aswell. Being in the company of good dog lads and having a laugh all night. I dont think i will ever get enough of lamping. I can go out on the beer or spend the night
