  1. I have a couple of jills and a hob I'm cutting back in North yorks
  2. I went out with my beddieXwhippet he hasn't been out in weeks, it was silent and a bit slippy but he had 3 decent long runs with some good turns didn't catch out but had fun reminded him of what it's all about and got him a bit fitter so I was happy
  3. I put it on the horses hoofs to protect them, use as hoof oil and if they've got a crack in it's hoof, nasty stuff wouldn't like t think my dogs were eating i. Tbh
  4. I have polecats,albinos, silvers, chocolate/cinnomen and 2 that are a mix between silver and polecats all work great. The only difference is I can spot the silvers and albinos easier when working

  6. I get that garlic fr the horses but il leave it just incase, dogs doing fine atm
  7. I will do but I think if I put in his bowl infront of him he will just look at it but if 1 was lying on the floor whilst I'm feeding the ferrets the little fecker would defiently take it!! How do u feed your dogs garlic?

  11. I use DrJohns working dog mix with whatever raw/cooked meat I can get, they get a egg everynow and then too

  14. Mikeball I would but I'm going away for 10 weeks n leaving dogs at home so it's just another 1 fr my dad to look after so not worth it. Yeah I guess it's just instinct fr a dog to chase then it's built for it so eventually it would get it's kill. Cheers fr replies I was just curious

  16. A few weeks ago I got offered a lurcher for free, a 15yr old lad had been doing some shooting and decided to get a dog and do some rabbiting with it. Anyway the lad got this nice dog got saluki ghreyhound and collie in it's make up not sure what else as a pup, it was a good looking pup etc. but the lad couldn't be bovered to train it retrive jump experience etc. So his dads been training it to sit lay down stay and walk quielty on a lead. But that's it the dog will be about 2 yrs now and it's a picture. If I wasn't going away I might of give it a go just to see if it could work. So my questio
  17. Well done it's really hard work I had to do it to 6 a couple years back when the gill started killing her litter , I was feeding them every 3hours me n dad did half a time to make it quicker but every one survied atb with them looking great Nat

  20. Thanks for the replies will try throwing ball around fr him in field in front of my house ... Then if he's still at it il try water. Skycat my dogs get plenty of exercise like I sed there working 3/5 days a week and do there own thing round the farm twice a day then follow me for about 1hr30 mins days they arent worked. I feed them at about 7ish once were back from the farm, at first he only used to do it if he didn't get fed at this time, bit now it's every night! Cheers hope it works!
  21. Iv been going out with the pup about 3/5 times a week fr about 3 weeks now he's doing well and keen as mustard ... But that's my problem he's kept in the house wi my other dog. Now when it gets to 9:30 (nights we don't go out) he cries till abou. 3 in the morning!! Pain in the arse but I'm going away for 10 weekes on Sunday so dad will only b taking him out about once a week t keep him fresh so he's going to get worse , and mums getting pissed off now... Anyoine got any ideas on how I get him to shut up cheers

Mines started slowly going out 3/5nights a week and in his first two weeks he had 2 rabbits but dropped both then he bagged his first two in one night with some great runs, week later he got another 2 now he's spotting rabbits in the lamp coming straight back after a slip, retrived 2 to hand but 1 Out of the 4 was a sitter so didn't hav to retrieve it lol so in all he's had sone very good runs bagged 4, keen as mustard so looking promising atb with your pups
