hi there liam i agree with alot you said on your post but i am refering to pro terrier me on the whole and yes i have dug pre locator days uing the bar has the finding tool digging to dogs at great depths 7 s average 2 or 3 times a morning in clay and yes our dogs were good stickers finders etc had to be terriers of old were great working dogs in there own right that theres no doubt i never meant it to come across that the modern terrier his vastly superior no like i said terriers evolving the same has the terrier men them selves adifferent time the fast lane of todays soc

hi there liam when i used the term modern working terrier its just a term refered to we are in a modern time more so now than ever before in the history of the working terriers better and better animals for work are now being produced under the strict breeding regimes of this generation of terrier men quads 4 x4 make it now more accesable to earths yes the working terrierb men are evolving just like there terriers more terriers per litter are going on to be decent dogs than times gone by and long may this be so top of the moning to ya fellas

well said busterdog but i would try to like to answerthe question in part i believe gordon works blacks to good effect and alo some russell types wich by all accounts get the job done gaging a mans animals from a decade ago his plain crazy and damn ignorance of how far the modern working terriers have come the pro terrier men have strived and will eecept nothing but good working animals anything else his given short shrift these dogs need ta get the job done in quick time

i can assure you who ever you may be gordon mason has the tools to do the job he his employed in pro tirrier man and yes rob booth was in tip ireland but i can go one better than that rob was from kidsgrove stoke local butcher boy got in ta terriers back then blacks mainly of course the majority were bred down from brians stuff if my memory servs me correct well just take a look at rob s line liitle crackers

red mite need an avian host to reproduce they feed then go and lay there eggs in the cracks of the timbers theres lots of things that kill mite mitex bleach just a touch in a gallon of water this breaks down the waxy outer coating on the mite and they suffocate and ya can one spotya ferrits as a precaution

theyre all a bloody rip off bit of bloody plstic a bulb bit of wire hundreds of pounds these light force the shells are not that robust dropped one cracked i use lazor light now with steel reflector and hunred watt bulb still expensive but alot stronger

daz these look cracking pups and well reared but let offer some advice here theres stacks of young dogs out ther for sale drop ya price ta workingmans price people are still struggling through this recession and i have no doub t theyll fly out good luck

staffs the right type do and can be hunting partners its up to the individual what they choose to hunt some people expect a dog to fill different roles ie family dog buddy what ever but just let me tell ya this i have owned 5 laguna whippets bred out of sooty sam and not one of them could move as quick over 25 ta 30 yds as our staff bitch of course she was 19 ths and yes explosive over short distances rats rabs were all ways heres the whipps never got alook in if she was out now of course htis does not mean she was faster top end but like i say quick

picardy crosses are very impressive looking dogs and yes i have no doubt they are tough has ol d boots with good bone and good feet but it takes alot moe than this to be a top class lurcher and yes the breeders of these dogs are not totally happy with the first crosses of these dogs thats why they are intending to line breed them the black 3 quarter bred thats about his the best one to date of these crosses costuctive critiscm his only for the strength of the breed of animal trying to be produced the trouble with some folk the imagination can run away with them

try getting the dog relatively fit warm the dog up before running take for awalk a hour before going to work in the early days we use ta walk our dogs to the venues muscle binding can also be a tribited to hyper tension 2yrs old way to young ta give up on a dog this problem is almost certainly aconditiong thing bull crosses wheaton types are similiar animals put ya dog in a keep mate best grub good luck
