Roxy 2 yrs, 22 " tts, has the ferreting game pretty much sussed now and no too bad oan the lamp either Cass, 16 months, 18" tts, still learning but showing lots of promise, bright as a button, natural retriever, the two of them have started to work well together out mooching, Cass works the cover and Rox tends to hang about at the edges a pic from yesterday
  2. aye mate, I don,t think I,ll get many chances like that, a bit pissed I didn,t get a decent pic of the buck but the dugs started gawn mental and they fecked off lol

  6. cheers lads, I did try and get some bird pics yesterday but they weren,t playing, as you say they,re not easy to capture, they were a wee bit more accomadating this morning though, I,ll be trying again tomorrow for they damn roe lol, cheers

  9. have to disagree casso, surely a collie type which can take instruction or as I like to put it "subtle direction " and use its own initiative when needed and work with you as part of a team will surely CATCH more, therefore how can a saluki type outclass any other breed, you,ve said it yourself above a saluki has been bred for a specific purpose, i.e. point and slip not what I would class as a LURCHER

  12. the general theme I,m getting from this thread is everytime the saluki type gets mentioned coursing is in the same sentance but when we,re talking about a proper LURCHER doing proper lurcher work being able to think on its feet and do all manner of tasks the collie type wins every time, I think
