Been doing a fair bit of mooching/ bushing lately so I went for a wee mooch this morning at first light, I was about 2 miles into it and had nearly reached my usual smoke break place, anyways Cass the whippet gives a wee bunny a chase around a corner and out of sight, when I turned the corner she was standing doon a banking marking a bush at the opposite side from me so naturaly I walk over and start beating the bush with my feet,,,,ended up arse over tit doon a hole, feckin shit myself one leg doon the hole and the other caught up in the brambles ootside the hole and kindae doing the splits
  2. I remember that day well mate as you keep reminding me lol. We've had some good days and nights out in the field havn't we. Especally that night we went out for just a few rabbits and came back witha cassarole (well everything to put in one including the spuds lol). Not just with the dogs either, i'll never forget your face when you shot your first greyleg and then bugger me the next morning you shot your first canada!!!. We've certainly filled a freezer or two on our days/nights out in the field, just how it should be Aye can,t understand these antis, us hunters get our fair share of veg

Walking along the beach and up the woods with an air rifle withoot getting any hassle The jam, the Who and big parka ,s Rag and bone man, mobile video van that would rent you blue movies Raleigh grifter, strika with the back pedal brake, choppers and super tuff burners and a gid kicking if you misbehaved

Aye I read the deleted post lol, I would suggest the real nervy types should be steared clear of when producing lurchers, there is still some rock steady collies out there, beardie and border and I would also suggest its the man behind the dog as well, his/her demeanor and how well he/ she can gel with collie types

  6. Doesn,t matter where these idiots get there dogs from though whether it be a rescue or otherwise they,re going to dump them anyway, point is alot of these rescue lurchers will end up in very good working homes FOR LIFE

  8. Who owned them? What quarry was the person after? Rats? An auld boy from our village used to have one or two, he used to be in the merchant navy so I think he brought them back from India. Once they were tamed they made great pets and he kept them in the hoose, I can remember one greeting at the back door to get oot so very bright animals. I never seen them work on the rats but I think they would,ve been useful under sheds etc but maybe to big for small tight holes. The auld boy used to catch the odd adder up the hills and match them against the mongoose, that was a great laugh,

  11. I,m a joiner to trade mate so I,ve got general tools, its the carving type stuff I have no clue about, I wouldn,t know where to start ? I have been collecting branches from the woods and built meself a rustic fence and also benches, ferret cage out of reclaimed wood but thats about it so far
