  1. Well, maybe i just had bad luck, but, as i have said, that was just my experience, with the 2 different terrier blooded lurchers i had. I am sure, their is sound working wheaten crosses out their, that never yap. Goes for all other terrier bred lurchers, must be a lot that don't yap. Their is a lot of dirt bred out their and its only getting worse.! To find a line of lurchers, that are well known and prooven, is getting harder and harder. Lurcher330, sounds like you seem to know of the good ones.
  2. if your wheaten x yapped it was breed from bad lines. i know a few lads that keep wheatens and if they make a sound while working thats the end of them they would'nt even use them to breed lurchers.even a half decent wheaten should be silent while working That's most likely true, as i did not see the parents work, just went by what the breeder said Just to mention here, i edited my post above, was meant to say, 3/4 greyhound 1/4 wheaten. I also had a 3/4 grey 1/4 irish terrier, bred by someone totally different, that also yapped! Got put off by the terrier crosses then, but as ye
  3. Had one back in the late 's, 3/4 greyhound 1/4 wheaten. It was ok, till it yapped, would yap for Ireland. I have also had a irish terrier cross and that yapped too. I find, anything with terrier in its make up, yaps! Seen a couple of wheatens too big for squeezing into tight spots in a fox den too.! The Jack russels i know did a far better job finding the fox ect. Just my experience on the cross and breed of terrier.
