3 or 4 red hinds in a night would be good going never mind a good stag. Pre pan I've ran plenty and seen all types of lurchers run them day and night takes a special dog to take them single and lots will fail. Very few can actually take em down clean without help of fence or wall etc.

Cheers mate, yeah Reggie missed a lot last season but my little half bred did me proud and achieved incredible feats, I have howler and Lucy out of litter. Small red bitch I bought back off a lad as he wasn't looking after it and gifted it to young lad as he's moms blind and no dad and he's keen as the dogs lol. Another bitch in next village that's with my lamping partner and the other red dog with lad who owns the mother of pups. No complaints from any of us so far. It's early doors so I'm not counting my chickens but future looking bright for pups. Black and Tan was a gift from lad wit

Pics with rabbits 4 of pups from my Reggie dog I lost last season. Pups first night on lamp for rabbits in numbers and all did well.

He certainly is a powerful keen animal and has crazy drive for a pup but it's been bred for generations into them best to best and I'm happy with them. Cheers for nice replys atb Keith

I hope so Andy He's had the best of starts in life and he's keen to go now but I know the dog needs the summer to be right. Jumps like a stag now retrieves live to hand and been in on a few tracking scenes lol Extremely loyal and clingy to me as is bitch but Reggie was the same. They've had a good education and been fed the best of gear and now it's up to them come the new season.

Few more up to date of Howler and Lucy Lucy is litter sister to howler and was gifted to me by breeder, I had originally bought back a bitch pup from litter as clearly wasn't being looked after but after buying her I gifted her to a young lad who's lost he's dad and mum is blind and I take him lamping a lot so I'll still see her and she's looking a million dollars now no sooner had bitch gone when Lucy was offered to me and another trip up the motorway began ! She's about 23 1/2" and very fast and tight. Howler around 26" mark and a flying machine with good pace They turn 10 months middle

Took how're out back field last night for first time and ran 4 rabbits picking up 3 and retrieving 2 live to hand. Hare was shot and retrieved p. very happy with him now and as season has finished for me now really as everything pairing up, Nearly 9 months old. Looking forward to next season all ready lol

Cheers lads. He's keen to go now but holding him back till next summer. Has been catching fur and feather sine 6 months old and caught a big rabbit other week after he flushed it. Extremely fast for a pup and bring on next year.
