Could be mate. But if you go back far enough, weren't they all called 'fell terriers'? I don't keep terriers, and only tagged along a few times with a few terriermen years ago. Decided it wasn't really for me years ago, even though I like, and have an interest in terriers ?

Dunno mate, they were just called border/lakelands by alot of the terrier men at the time , whether they were black, black and tan, red or grizzle

Yep, quite a few of those black border/fell/lakeland types around then. Don't think anyone cared too much really what they were exactly. See the odd one or two similar to that around nowadays, when driving through different villages in the valleys ?

Plenty down my way in south wales 30 odd years ago, looked almost pure border, but black. A mate of mine has one now border/patterdale, but fawn/red lol ?

Lol, well, I aint saying this to try to 'trump' you, but about 2 years ago me and a mate saw a magpie atually chasing a flock/party of long tailed tits, just missing one as they dived into some thick overhanging willow. 1st time I'd ever seen that. You ever see something like that mate, or anyone you know? ? Or anyone reading this?
