I know a couple of guides myself and i know what goes on so thats why i commented. I agree maybe slagging everything off was a bit off a mistake but i suppose when you have forked out the money then you have a right to vent. Nice to have a little debate on here though without the name calling for a change....

Read it again, he's a crap guide because the geese are high? did you miss that bit? As if a BASC registered guide is likely to condone shooting pheasants on the ground?? Well my advice then would be too have a natter with your grandad and he'll put you right. I'm sure he wouldn't have handed over the gun if he didnt think that safety would be your first concern. Alot depends on what sort of game/vermin is around you......20 bore will be a 50 yards easy on things like rabbit, pigeon, pheasant, crows.....the list is endless. You'll have to read up or maybe find out on here about diff types of cartridges too. ATB

TV license man chapped my door today and asked why i hadn't paid my bill? Good dogs mate......obviously i'm a Lab' man and would always choose one over a Golden. Think they take a bit longer to train than a Lab.....well so someone i know who has had them tells me...

Funny that...........was down the beach with the dogs today and i watched an old couple let there collie charge up to another persons dog. Now obviously the collie was just wanting to play but if it continues to jump into dogs like that it wont be long before its getting a chunk out of it...
