USA sounds good , as does Canada. The problem is that it is so expensive to take a pig there. I think France, Poland as also as expensive. I am just fishing for ideas. How old is it? If it is a young pup, then sleep on a mattress next to the crate for the first few nights: that way it won't feel scared and alone: you just stick your hand into the crate and stroke it, but also, if the pup has been carefully reared, it won't want to pee in the crate: you take it outside every few hours for the first week or so by which time a pup will usually have the hang of the housetraining thing, but bear in mind that young pups can't hold their pee for very long at all: they need to go every couple of hours or so. Some of the falconry lads might be able to answer that best, but I'm it's definitely not just younger birds learning, and I think Sparrowhawks feet are designed more for catching and holding rather than puncturing and killing, therefore as soon as bigger prey is immobilised they start to eat it. Also why waste energy killing when it can eat it alive? And time spent on the ground with prey they can't lift, is time when they're most vulnerable to other predators? I've always just wondered why they do that and probably another reason i'm not to keen on them. Have they got any predators really?
