    hi john , not quiet sure on distance but its not far of about 15yds 20yds away , the starget can be a 1 meter square or bigger as ;long its big enough to take the pattern. bigger is better though .get same old paint(NOT GLOSS) and add same water to dilute it as a white wash,and paint the steel plate with it , so when you shoot you should be able to see pattern ,. the method to use is to stand at the desierd distance and bring the gun to shoulder as in normal shooting postion and pull triger . this will give you the pattern of cardrige and whether the gun needs to be alterd to shoot were you ai

    I had the same thing happen got hold of the company and they sent me aother one free of charge ,two days later that had fell off in the field somewhere not bothering again slung it in the hedge cos if u try to open it with out the button it is not so easy. slung in the hedge , why noy put it in your pocket and take it home and put in the bin. the country side is full of rubbish why put more. i think you should go back and pick it up .i bet the land owner whould,t like it .

    ballistics is not my strong point on which is the best in the wind.but lighter bullets are more common to miss its target than the heaver bullet, same one on here will know more than this and should put you right.

    the most stopping power is a factor in accuracy aswell ,you have to place it in the right place.usally the bigger the bullet more stopping power, more recoil ,less speed . all three cals are good to them ranges,but theirs other factors to take in when shooting at those distances and the wind is the worse, take a bullet off even at short range . you should be able to get your foxs in much closser if you intend useing your nv thats what i found out and if they dont then they are their for you again and havent been disturbed . backstop is allways in my mind aswell but i do a fair bit of s

    dont rush in to , have a look at the other,s first . the 204 ammo goes up to 45gr thats soft nose , dont like it as it runs through old charlie , i use the 40gr vmax and very rarely get them going through(safty in mind ). the 222 goes up to 60gr and they do that in v max in 5o gr 55gr 60gr .the 223 does the same . as for speed theirs not much in it . best of luck

    yes the wild cat can be dissmantle and clean, i found to make sure you give the joints a good amount of copper slip or same thing simler regular to stop it from sticking .as far as stainless barrels go id say yes every time, the blued barrels rust to quick for me. to shiny i dont think charlie will worry to much about that hes more concerned about whats cameing out of it .

    HA , theirs a hell of a difference with no mod on even with the 204 .try a mod on it . i got the wildcat on the 6mm interchangeable with the 308 , so could do it with the 22.50 and if you go for one of the smaller call , but make sure its stated on you ticket INTERCHANGEABLE WITH BOTH CAL,S . just another thought for you .

    sako,6mm is the same as a 243 ,just the case is diffrent . the 204 is great little cal fast and flat, i like it , the recoil is near as nill witch gives great sight when you pull the triger , iv never shoot any of the other calls to any great exstent .but allot of people shoot and lv the 22-50. try it fisrt and then go from their .the 22-50 has the most recoil as i can remember and as of the other 2 whant be far of the 204 . hope this helps . derboy

    hi mate, got mine on the 20cal (204) with the 40gr vmax it does the job for me and little recoil. ill be going for the dedicated scope when i get same spare cash; and then put the archer on the 6mm as a back up . i allways take a second gun . i can use it as a spotter and if needed put it strait on the 6mm , then im sorted . but im geting rid of the 6m .im stuck between 2 guns , 20br or the 6mm ackly . or mayby the 2 all the best tonight .

    sako , very happy with it , it took same time to get used to takeing it on and off , but practise is the key word , i was tending to rush to sort things out thinking they can see you as its that bright with the lasser on, and with the scope on 5 to 8 x mag and archer x2 mag, you think they are alott closser than you think .

    i got the gen3 B grade , very clear , darker the better . i havent got to look through the p.v.s 14 just whent with archer as its made here in uk , just in case any broblems arise.

    hi top shot , iv had the archer for a while now and use in on my nightforce (5.5 22x56. but its waisted on it as i only ever go to 8 xmag , the clarity is perfect but the cross hairs are very fine duo to having to move eye piece to compensate for archer which scope, every body if different and say this and that , but you only get what you pay for . like julian says the leupold scope works the best so you coud start their.the only thing that i would say is go for some thing that got less mag , unless you in tend to shoot at longer ranges , most of mine is up to 130yd or so but most are closse
