    The tube you are mentioning xr5 is good but a few people have had problems with it, slight bit of light and it dulls down so much you can't see your target, as for the xd4 i can't comment as i've had no 1st hand experience with but have heard it good. The main reason the Longbow comes to light is that most are sold to gamekeepers which are bought by the estate and they are trying to buy the best and don't know that much about NV so the price comes into it, as the Longbow is one of the most expensive they feel it must be the best, i have around a dozen keepers that i have shown the Envis and

    thanks for the input pestcontrol. so is the d480 better than the longbow from julian as the price is about the same . i probably wrong here but haven,t they both got the same tube,s in them ( nd4 - xr5 ).i allready use the archer b grade and i got no complain,s about it , but im on the road for a dedicated one and was thinking of the longbow with the xd4 tube in it . thanks again . thats why we chat on sites like this so to help others ,camo304

    so how does the envis compare to the longbow, lets say the xd4 . there has been alot of talk about the envis but no mention of price (NEW) or after sales repair , wlth the archer you know what you are paying and you know it can be repaired.

    mudd dog, if you fancy them catfish look up CATFISH CAPPERS ,martin walker is his name . very reasonal prices , no prob in catching their , well in to over the 100lb mark , he does a deal if you dont catch a 100lb cat, you get a free trip, hes that confident you will catch, the number of fish their is unbelivable, the best times to go their is early in the year around march and early april, i only herd today that 3 blokes have had fish to 180lb and loads over 100 to 130lb this week . but the weather can be a hit or miss , august - september is a good time to when all the big girls show 200

    SO is a photocopy of your certs a legal doc or do they need to see the original. like most of us we do abit of decoying and abit lamping and clays , as its a pain having to swap it from bag to bag.

    i dont think their is any test out their you can have to use in the field , they say its very hard even for the vets to tell the difference between the bovine tb and the avian tb wich is not so dangerous . im sure it says that it needs laboratory tests to prove witch is witch , cliical signs can belong term retention , of winter coat . internal clinical signs are usually in the lymph system and lymph glands in the throat, lungs ,or mesenteric region that has puss, white chalky nodules or white nodules in the lungs, all should be treated as suspicious . recmmendation is to leave the carcase

    the only broblem with that is we are one,s coursing the trouble then, get thrown out . and if the old bill gets involved, well then thats a criminal record (threatening behaviour) and thats your licences gone, no i think we are doing it right hit them in the pocket . not the face

    they are good got one my self on the 308. why not try one of the other models , you whant go far rong with swarovski, carl zeiss have recently released a duralyt range wich have had same good right ups so have a look at them. i haven,t looked through any of these with an add on only the nightforce but the cross hairs are abit to fine when adjusted to the add on , only thing to do is go to a shop wich stays open late and ask to have a look through a few, get a better idea then what you whant .

    yes mate your right he,s my nephew , took him out alot and got him in to shooting shown him whats what , hes came on realy well, just got to get him to drive now so i can have a go at shooting we have had same good days and night out .
