The dogs don't kill the Deer. They catch and hold them. Sounds like you know an awful lot about it though!!! You want to get a better dog then................................. If the dog isn't actively trying to kill it he ain't gonna be HOLDING for very long. I have seen dogs kill all species of deer up to sika size with very little fuss except on the biggest of bucks then it gets interesting Running deer was a passion of mine pre 2005 but rabbits are my only game now but here is my opinion on things for what it's worth. some dogs excell at at one or the other,and a few at both.in MY lenghthy experience ive found the dog that excells on both mostly caught roe quicker.thats my take on it a hard pressured hare does not usually make the same mistakes as a roe

4 figures on long ears no problem,and i was well into the 3 figures on the long legs even though i didnt like doing them.if i did like it there would have been a larger amount of long legs than long ears.we have mutual freinds that you can check that statement out with whin im talking in general here,but the terrain ground and cover do have a large part to play in it atb the droverps this was all done pre ban

had a similar scenario a short while ago.it was alleged that my dog had studded to a bitch bred out of stolen stuff.had to go out my way to prove my dog had never been near the bitch in question which i proved.but for they few days of FAULSE allegations,it wasnt nice i can assure you people should not be named as dog theives unless it can be proved.it was a bad enough time for me,and that was for supposedly breeding to stolen stuff dont wish that stigma on anyone,unless they are guilty.atb the drover

great just to take it all in at this time of year,another month and youll be thinking about sept,and wishing your life away your not wrong.im wanting winter already.im sure my mrs is thinking about getting me sectioned.just had best part of 3 years of ozy sun.just want them cloudy windy nights now.only 100 more sleeps hee hee same here mate.but take the rest now mate because unless we have a winter like the last one(hard ground)youll be needing a rest again come march. swings and roundabouts mate swings and rounabouts
