    lawrence theres no excuses made its just some breed s mature quicker than other s you have to give the dog every chance and play to there strenghs willie, paddy , and sooty are all very slow maturing i have youngsters nearly half there age that are more mature and would go now if i let them ive started letting them have a look but thats all they get for now

    as soon as there big teeth are through ill show them a rat or too then when there 14 -- 16 months ill let them watch a dig and let them have a rag then from 18 months ill maybe show them a stopend and depending what happens i may let them go to ground or i may park them a for a few more months at the end of the day there bedlingtons not pats ive got pats here that will fly to ground and work at 9 months old if i were to let them i watch the dog and when i think its ready then i let it see a stopend then decide which way we go and if there not up to it , shoot the fcker

    mate your kidding yourself if you think there is such thing as a PURE BEDLINGTON TERRIER they all have a bit of an outcross somewhere down the line , bedlingtons are the ultimate allrounder there not pats , lakies or jrts they mature at some funny rates some early but most are a bit slow but when they get there there cracking dogs patience is the key slowly slowly catchy monkey take your time and it will pay of in the end

    now ive never been a fan of foxwarren russells but i have a lot of time for Eddie allways up for a bit of banter and has been said hes been there and done it and even now would proberley out dig 99% on here he may be small and wirey but he could dig like a jcb he s more into fishing these days his missus jane sorts the dogs and the less said about her the better

    dogs should be out working now not having pups, take you your time do your homework and you will drop on the right one but what do you want it for ?? earthwork , bushing etc

    a few years ago at the welsh my missus was offered £5000 in cash for one of our bedlington bitches she refused and that bloke bugged her all year for that dog open chq and all he got the same reply the dog aint for sale and to this day when i bump into him he still asks , you still got that bitch ill give you good money for her mined , i think he s got more money than sense myself

    god forbid it won t happen to me again, but a really good earthdog out if your own stock is priceless should it happen i would like to think my mates would sort something out to get me back at it as they did the last time , these days i run enough dogs on to ensure i allways have reserves

    noddy your a knob iburprofen is poisonus to dogs , carprophen Rimadyl and is fine just watch the dosage as it plays havoc with there kidneys if you overdose them

    had a couple of handy digs today first one was a big deep looking place lots of seaching but we got there in the end then bolted a fox out of an old rubbish tip good job as i didnt fancy diggin it then a nice easy one 4 foot dig had a look at a few new ones but they can wait until another day we had our fun today there keep
