Don't get me wrong I've had bigger than the 18lber. I weighed him because he looked so big. I once had 3 in a hole. 2 dogs @ 21 lbs each and a 18 lb vixen. 3 big foxes in the same earth. But as far as monsters go ?? I think 30 pounders most times can be taken with a big pinch of salt. I think the average dog fox is around the 15 or 16 lb mark with vixens a pound or two lighter. That's according to our scientific friends. So IMO guessing weights can be weight of the mark. The things you have to watch out for are when you are in fields with horses and cows they can be funny buggers with dog or lamper,i wouldnt worry about anything else

A lad i know and still have abit to do with had one of these from an acidental mating between a nuttall type terrier which was a fair digging dog and a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 whippet bitch that was a fair rabbit dog and pretty good on hares in small fields,he culled the litter and kept the largest dog pup which ended up about 21" to the shoulder if i remember ill have to ask him,now the dog was very keen from a pup but a complete pain in the arse it was as said a yapper in the daytime and on the lamp if it saw anything on the lead it was on 2 legs yapping as well,it also liked to put its nose down

Terriers are not ment to be all rounders though,theres lads that use them for earth work will not use them for bushing rabbits etc and very few blokes who have rat packs use theres for earthwork and so on bit of a daft poll this one thats just my opinion lol

what an idiotic coment Just imagine going to ask a farmer for permission and he asks to see your dog! 'Sorry mate, I haven't bought one yet.' or 'The dog will be ready to go in 12 months'. nowt like being organised,,lol shoot rabbits,ferret em just to get a foot in door for dogs,or even work for permish? I was going to offer help micky, and now i'm a Bully, lol, ok... I prefer useing a big mac and fries and a 12" pipe Nah seriously though fella what your saying there to me is a sure fire way of encouraging a terrier to false mark and think every hole and pipe holds food or quarry, and i dont care what you say you do it enough times a terrier will do it out of curiousity or because it thinks its whats expected of it even with no scent

Due to circumstances and the need to change the way i hunt and cut back i have decided to let my pack of hounds go,i am very dubious about this and has taken a while to make my decsion but ive made my mind up there is 12 hounds all modern x fell with a dash of welsh various ages from 16months to 5 years of age,i am keeping 1 bitch back and a fella i know is taking 4 so there is 7 spare,these would suit experianced blokes looking to increase there pack,they will not suit young lads who want to do abit of bushing in small spots or near roads they need good sized land to run on,i will not let the
