I don,t feel the need to overwork the land,why make inroads into unworthy quarry that will be a better days sport later on,especially when it grows to a size that may better challenge the dogs.Ive plenty to do at this time of year,the dogs can still be kept physically fit with a few leisurely walks and swims.I find the dogs are physically and mentally so much fresher come late autumn,due to a break,less chance of picking up knocks and bangs and a chance to recover from an arduous season.
Really i find dog's that are kept running and working all year round suffer less injurys muscles etc when
