  2. Alright mate, I am new as well, I have not long read a book by Simon Whitehead, to me he sounds genuine, he's been doing it for years and knows the score. Its got all the basics on feeding, handling and looking after them. Then it moves onto all the kit for going out and doing the business. Not a bad book realy, am sure i will be keep it and flicking back through from time to time. All the best, Bleachtastesnice

When i think ferret bag, poacher does immediately spring to mind, and I can see the pro's and con's for using them, its got to beat ferret legging for start! But if poacing isnt the agenda I can see it bein far more beneficial using a box and its not like there too expensive or a great hardship to make eather. Cheers, Bleachtastesnice

  10. Might be an old wives tale but I have heard that a little garlic helps, think its intended as a addative to the water, havent tryed it myself thoe, due to thinking it cant be good for them, sure if it was tryed and tested it would of already been suggested... All the best, BleachTastesNice

  13. Rahaha, fair shout there mate, I paid 15 each for my two jill kits and think its a fair price, would maby part with an extra few quid if i knew the kits were from a well proven line or buying adults that are seasoned vets with a proven reputation
  14. Sounds good to me as a treat, i intend to do it, but i have read quite a few times that feeding day old chicks as the main diet could be the cause of problems in the long run, Bleachtastesnice

Aye i am sticking to dry (Alphaferret) during the day with a little meat on most nights (chicken and turkey leg), plenty of rabbit coming upto the season, and a egg every other week, thinking about feeding them mice and rat (purchased frozen from local reptile store), Does anyone think this is a wise move?   18. Sounds good to me, I think you should go for it, it will secure your permission, keep the ferrets sharp and build up your confidance for the season, have you not got a mate or 2 to give you a hand? All the best eather way, Bleachtastesnice

  23. Nice one mate, I think that the bright colors are a good idea, av seen some luminous yellow ones, think they would be ideal when theres low light and heavy bush...?
