  1. Mine is only just over 5 months, and hasnt really started jumping on his own yet, I have had him up and down a few ledges by following on and keeping up with me, lol, nothing too high as he is still young. When out with other dogs he is always trying too follow on, (thats how I have got him in water aswell) soo I know its all there and slowly but surely his confidence is growing but nothing too high as he will get damaged. I find 'monkey see, monkey do' is the best way too bring on a lurcher in most aspects of training and think I am lucky to be able too do this methord, but I also think it is
  2. Me and a mate are looking too go to the Lambourn show this year, heard good things about it Can you please give me the dates and a postcode for the sat nav? If theres a link to a web site, that would be cushtie aswell. Cheers, Bleachtastesnice

  4. It was on bbc scotland but here's a link if you want to give it a watch... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b010bbgz/Travellers_Episode_1/
  5. What the fcuk were they thinking
  6. Rahaha, fair enuff, the fella who wrote the article is called Darren Gallagher, I hardly ever read the countrymans and have never hear of him before soo I wouldnt take his write up as gospel, but it did give me the idea of looking into the giving of suppliements too lurchers. I have heard of people giving there dogs electrolytes before too aid hydration and prevent cramps, any one tryed this? Maby it would help balance out the possible cramping side effects of the creatine?
  7. @ 3turns, cheers chief What are you saying gunner123, Do you think it was me who wrote the article? Haha
  8. Sure the idea has potential and would be possible, but when it comes too collecting am not the man for the job! Have you had a look too see if its running in the states? Can think of a few benifits off the top of my head... Read a few posts on THL where people have been gutted because there dogs have passed away doing what they where bred too do, with out having the chance to breed a litter from them. Alot off people also complain about the amount of shite dogs out there being bred from, having a source of quality would help put a stop too this and keep working straines go
  9. Wasnt Phil Lloyd running kelpie crosses when he was doing the Coneycatcher dvd's? Am not 100%, they might of been Australian cattle dog crosses
  10. Yeah? I dont know any one who has ever fed it too there lurchers mate, is it a drama getting it over here?
  11. Aye mate, its the 'australian formula greyhound food' that has creatine in it, not sure on the content but many people swear by it
  12. Whats the percentages of the bitch, Is it 1/4 saluki 1/4 deerhound and 2/4 grey? Also what do you want from the pups? Cheers, Bleachtastesnice
  13. cree a teen... hope that helps Cheers for the replys soo far, all advice is being taken on bord
  14. Aye mate, I have heard about the chocolate thing being leathle for dogs aswell, it was one off the first things that crossed my mind when I read it, and just too be safe I wouldnt use chocolate flavour if I was too use it at all. Glad your dogs are doin alright aswell As with the lurcher owners who feed raw I understand there is a natural source of creatine in meat, particularly in red meat such as beef, but really there is not alot compared too a suplymented source.
  15. I thought it was quite informative, too be fair it wasnt the best artical I have ever read but its only the first part of two articles and I do have a genuine intrest in the subject. I know what your saying about not drinking more water than needed, but I am not clued up on creatine causing cramps in humans I will look into this cheers, in the article it is mixed in with a 'chocolate' protien shake, I know for a fact that if i gave my dog a chocolate milk he would neck the lot!
  16. Right then, been flicking through this weeks copy of the countrymansweekly and theres a good write up on the use off supplements in working dogs, has any one else read it and what are your views? Have you ever thought about it or do you have a routine? I am sure that alot of people will say 'with the right diet there not necessary' but this isnt what am after, I personnaly think that its a good idea and can give a dog the edge, be it in performance, recovery, overall health and well being. I also think that theres a massive difference in giving your dog supplements such as creatine, B
  17. Aye mate, I think I know where your coming from and think your opinion is spot on, couldnt imagine alot of suppliment use in ferreting dogs and the steady workers who only need a few rabbits a week Maby there was a difference in use and opinion pre-ban? Would also think there is more use in the coursing and racing scenes?

  19. Have you thought about snaring? If not you could always give it a go, I thought it was a black art at first but its really not that ninja, not getting massive bags but it still gets me out and keeps the land owners happy because your still showing face and keeping on top of the rabbits
