  2. Was out up the farm this morning, first to have a crack at the mice in the grain store, then on to the cattle sheds with the smoker... Well, we done the mice and as per usual, couldnt get the chainsaw going onsite when it was working fine yesterday... Ah well, their there for another day. The dogs marked a rat hole and we managed to dig him out, just the one before admitting defeat.
  3. Its all about pruning, root stunting and pruning and a bit of love and a bit of neglect, a natural will be stunted by all of these in natural conditions as well as some adverse weather.
  4. Never heard of trimming back hair bud. Spose its an option if you had 3. I got along fine with just a buzz cut on my best one out the two
  5. cut the fur on the tail square on one.
  6. Evening... Anyone got a decent working entire male in Hampshire please? I only want to use him over my single best albino gill. Got a court of shite if I`m honest, apart from my eldest gill, she`s pretty mean, her litter mate, who wasnt quite as mean died last year at age 5. Can travel, and willing to share... Nothing too big as the gill is a good size, and I wouldnt want anything bigger in a working gill. Obviously (If necessary) the gill can stay over a night or two or he can come to mine. My gills are running with a vas`d hob and it sounds like spring has started, so I`d have to
  7. Seen them over here. Usually in unsavory places like half way houses and crack dens. I`d be scared the guy cut himself on it making it...
  8. Story of my life. As soon as you get on your feet after one thing, theres usually something else in the post... Just got to keep on keeping on.
  9. Just google your area. I usually got what I wanted within an hours drive. I dont know if this is any good - http://www.oxfordpoultry.co.uk/Oxford_Poultry/Welcome.html Nice Mirror by the way..
  10. The anti`s have to get their education somewhere
  11. My Ma made me one out of one of her denim skirts. If I`m honest though, it a chore to use. Single pouch, but its like having a massive nut sack.
  12. Ive had a go at doing oak from acorns a few times. I always seem to get them to around 2 years, then put them out to weather and forget about them. Only to remember about them mid summer and upon returning find a little dry stem and a crispy leaf...
  13. Some do, some dont. Known the them not to make a sound even when wearing ferret earrings..
  14. I used to get a 6 pack of the 0.4ml tubes (terrier size) for £25 off her mate. Now she`s gone I might have to go down that route.

  16. I pay a 10er a month. I expect it`ll go up next year though when shes more of the finished article. Gutted my onside vet nurse has moved to reigate, I was getting it cheap up until a month or so ago. Whos yours with Lee? Sounds a good deal.
  17. Check out window cleaners pouches. Falconry jackets can be handy. MIne was a cheap one and didnt last though.
  18. Not a fan of rucksacks myself, full of clips, toggles and zips and the openings are usually fairly small, you struggle with two or three of you diving in there. I have to use the satchel type as Ive normally got a longnet basket on my back, but its easier for a few of you to get some nets, no queuing lol, plus you can chuck nets back from a fair distance.
  19. Funny fickle things.. I had one at the start of the season, wouldnt turn off, I didnt know it, it must have turned its self on and kindly ran out of batteries. Lucky I had spares, which I removed at the end of the day. Next trip out I put the batteries back in and it worked fine, turned off and on and has been fine since.?
  20. I dunno? Cant say Iv`e seen any as yet so you could be on to something.
  21. What weight is the dog and what size tube? Im finding it now with the pup. I think its a 0.4ml tube for dogs under 10kg, now if you got an 11kg dog, you`ll be prescribed the bigger dose at 1ml for up to 25kg So you would be well overdosing for the sake of a kilo, and of course it then gets everywhere.. I think I`ll start getting just the 25kg tubes and splitting one between a 7kg terrier and an 11kg terrier.
  22. It`s definitely rushing towards us... What have you seen which seems unusually early? Down south(virtually centrally opposite the Isle of White on the main land) I`ve seen Jackdaws gathering nesting material last week, Magpies and Rooks making nests this week and Coot`s sitting tight today. And of course young in some doe rabbit`s as well as all stages in between. Soon be christmas...
  23. A strong knife, a fire steel and a decent length of climbers rope in place of the fishing line. Its got more potential. I could knit a hammock out the inner cord for starters.
