  1. http://www.thestickman.co.uk/knob.htm I think he`s got one. Not cheap though and I`d rather find my own. Looking for one myself, but the sap is up now so it`ll be end of autumn now for me to pick one. Bob, if you see one you fancy cut it. It will still be seasoned before any you cut next winter. Sticks cut with the sap up take about 6 months longer to season. To get a blackthorn knob stick you have to cut saplings with part of the root ball thats what makes the knob. TC Yeah I know about the root ball handle, my gramps had one. Basically a long shillelagh? He was always really
  2. I dont they`re much different. The redband might have more aniseed in it. I cant see it making much difference once you add all you bits and pieces.
  3. Nah cant say I`ve seen one. Seen a albino one. Spose theres all sorts of coat variations out there. Foxes, moles, fallow, rabbits ect all thrown dodgy coloured ones. Pity you never got a pic bud.
  4. Available in most feed stores bud. Bout £15 for 15/20kg. They say red band is the best one. Its just a mixture of seeds and grains and aniseed. Soak it overnight and boil it up for half hour. I do big boils, then split it into session packs and freeze it. Good as freezer packs for keeping your beer and buttys cold in summer.
  5. I found a piss head up there a week ago. 11pm at night. Dogs took off towards the noise, I followed and found a pissed up guy rolling round having trouble navigating the wood. Gutted was an under statement. Thought my luck was in.

No not yet. Hoping now it'll be soon though :)

  8. I heard they`ve stopped doing them. But then heard sainsburys does a similar product.
  9. Where do you usually go? Get a pic up of what your shooting now.
  10. Not really bud, Ive never really set out after them. Pellet always pulled them down. Could get expensive if your looking to put big beds down regular. Pigeon conditioner was always a good one too. You can add bits of your intended hookbait to it. and once all the big particles have been munched, theres always the tiny seeds theyve pushed into the silt to hold them longer.
  11. 9.4, my bad. It was 9 years ago.
  12. Your in luck. Just found it on an old photobucket account. Hope it works now...
  13. Nah sorry gone with the pc`s of past. I still dont back up my photos. Going through a bit of a nightmare at the moment. Cant get any photos off my phone. Should have backed them up....
  14. if the raisins are inside are you sure the Mrs was trying to make eccles cakes mate?
  15. 3 shredded wheat in the mornings...
  16. You do get some clonkers off the top. My mate, the one that had a 49.12 English fish once nicked a biggie off me. I put some floaters out in the margins in 3 swims in a row and opted to sit in the middle. He opted for the mobile approach. When I hooked one in the middle swim, he walked round to see how big it was, only he never made it to me. On his way round he seen fish slurping in the right hand swim and dropped in on them. By the time I had landed, weighed and returned my 12lber, he was into a decent one in a swim which was not much more than a hole in the bushes. After a mental fight thro
  17. And be ready to give him another blast once he drops off your ceiling and goes into stop, drop and roll mode.
  18. Get an aerosol and a lighter. WD40 doesnt work, tried cooking toast with it as a kid, you`ll need something more feminine and flammable , hairspray, deodorant ect. Then go toast that muthafecka. N.B, Prob not a good idea if you live in a thatched cottage.
  19. Yeah they are taking off the top down here. I walked the dogs past a small commercial pool the other day, just as a lad and his dad were going. Bread everywhere, so in goes all their surplus bread as well and home they went... By the time I had my little walk, lapped a field or two, the carp were up and slurping. The carp knew the crack as they were all feeding on the drifted bread, everywhere but where they were fishing.
  20. The monkey was chained up so he couldnt go nowhere and the pup was up high so it couldnt go nowhere. No need for it. What would made the video is if a big f**k off bengal dragged one of them off screaming. I wonder how many would be laughing then. The more I see of the world, the less I want to travel. Reminds me of africa and I seen a kestrel tethered to a chimpmunk. Both looked well unhappy at 11.30pm being prodded and poked to keep them awake.
  21. Oh yeah definitely. Theres just something more special when your on your own, under no pressure and in a nice, wild tranquil place. Its a million miles away from a commercial fish. Big, old, slow grown English fish are where its at. This one was around the same weight, but probably 30+ years older and much more satisfying to catch.
  22. Get out there give it a crack man! Keep baiting and fishing the same spot, wont be long before they`ve polished the bottom. Eating machines when they`re on it... Normally when your fishing for something else My best is 9lb14oZ. Caught it carp fishing. They probably go much bigger over there?
