  1. Good rifle there, I've mentioned in a few threads about scopes, the old Hawke Varmint, I use a few different scopes but this particular scope, is really good, better than some that cost loads more, about £150+ when it came out so I'd say £75ish tops second hand, look for the 3-12X44 and you won't go wrong...........Al :thumbs-up:

    rugby

Wales had lost this match a long time ago and what the WRU did to New Zealand today with the Hakka, well that was just asking for trouble and cause ill feeling. Fortunately, I think that we, the Welsh as a nation respect New Zealand and realise that it was an honour just to be in the same stadium with people who have such pride, a pride that Wales did have but will never regain when politics rule the national game. I think pre match events played on every players minds today, but I think the outcome was a foregone conclusion, just over a week ago I was in the Millenium Stadium when Wales beat

  6. ......thanks, Al :thumbs-up:
  7. To be honest littlefish, I'd rather have one have the amount of time that is spent with two if you understand me, I think that it would then be quality time rather than necessary time. As for lonely, they also have the dogs with them, which is a nice thing to whitness, thanks for your comments, very much appreciated as each day I think about not wanting to have to do this and as response is very negative, I can't see him ever going.................Al :thumbs-up:
  8. I haven't used this scope, supposed to be really good as are all their scopes. I use a Hawke Varmint 3-12X44 MIL on my FX2000 and this is just about the best scope I use and that includes another more expensive "top of the range" model that cost nearly three times as much. I don't think you'll go far wrong with it. Another thought, have you checked it on the Review Centre?..........Al :thumbs-up:
  9. --> QUOTE(Dawn B @ Nov 24 2006, 04:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is he a cross? doesnt look like a pedigree Pei, not being disrespectful, just interested. Dawn. He's the genuine article Dawn, thanks for the interest, that's not being disrespectful at all..........Al :thumbs-up: ( I won't tell him though )
  10. Air Arms have some cracking rifles and you are putting one to good use there Simon, nice one.........Al :thumbs-up:
  11. Yep you've described them in one Simon. I was told I'd have major problems with him and the Rotties and if I'm honest, I can show you the scars I have got from one encounter when the Rotties decieded to kill him . This was down to my own stupid fault of getting involved, our Rottie bitch is very dominant and is second in command to me and I should have told her to sort it, this has always worked since and now we have four really happy dogs that all get on. Touchy with people is right in their nature and everyone who come into our yard or house has to be introduced to him. The Rotties will
  12. Gus is more of the recognised "standard" example of the breed. The more recent ones I think are very similar to the one that used to be on the telly and have been exploited by being more of a fashion accessory, loads of wrinkly skin and problems, than being owned for a genuine reason. They are by nature a herding/guard dog and Gus displays this continually, that said, he is always "working" and everything he catches is brought back for us. What you said about guarding, I have Rotties for this job, well I did have until we discovered Gus's talents, he is more than capable of taking this to th

He has travelled the world especially with fishing and once held the World Record for Carp. 16. Guys, I bought Stabs's Para boots for a tenner, cost him "a lot" to send them to me and insists I owe him nowt for postage . The point is, isn't this a typical example of all that is good on this site? Stabs you are a gent and would like all to know that I owe him one..............Al :thumbs-up:

    hi

Hi Glenn, can't help you with the dog thing but I can offer a warm welcome to you..............Al :thumbs-up:
  19. I've got one in .22 - it's a nice airgun; decent weight and balance & accurate with it. Mine has been chrono'd at 11.83 ft/lb so good power too. As far as value - I got mine (beech stock) used from a local gun shop, totally unmarked with a logun silencer & AGS SWAT 3-12x44 scope for £220, so as said by B.B.B. £130 - £160 sounds about right. So £150 for rifle only (silencer?) in good nick seems reasonable Thank :thumbs-up: x Spike, will be on it's way next week...........Al
  20. There's a couple on eeeekbay et the moment........Al :thumbs-up:

  24. Coco, the stallion is a dark bay cob, at present stands about 12 to 14HH, not sure what he will eventually make. Snowball, the mare, is about 12HH, not really sure of her breeding, unrecorded on her passport. They are just pets that were bought to live here and graze our land and we thought that one day our daughter may show an interest in riding them........Al
