  1. better than the fcuktheban one?? that one was well exciting! Aye, the man is a comedy genius, and very honest, and apart from the couple of folk trying to be all serious and moan about 'you get what you put in, blah blah', the replys have all been friendly and funny. Makes a really nice change from all the "my dog could pull a crack addicted grizzly bear on roids single handed, so ergo i have a huge schlong" threads. Some dogs, like some people are just fecking mental!
  2. Fairplay to you, that really is dedication to your stock, you should be applauded in everyway!
  3. I'll tell you what make, this has made me proper chuckle! And this one - "I can only compare her to the dog version of lee Evans with attention deficit disorder on speed" . . . . well that's just pure comedy gold matey, pure gold!
  4. I think you may find they,re Scottish accent speakers because they,re erm,,,,,,SCOTTISH YOU'RE SCOTTISH??????? :icon_eek: :icon_eek: And there was me just thinking you were all a bit special needs!
  5. Haha, you are very odd, bit off tangent that. No offence. No offence taken mate .... though what does TANGENT mean what he does every time some one offends rag heads he goes OFF ON ONE Haha. I'm not really going off on one. But i don't really think 'rag heads' have much to do with the hunting ban, unless you think it's another one of 'their' secret conspiricies.
  6. Haha, you are very odd, bit off tangent that. No offence. No offence taken mate .... though what does TANGENT mean In this case line of thought / argument. Just there was us thinking we needed to march / write petitions. When all we needed to do was get abdul from the local cornor shop out lamping foxes . . . .
  7. Haha, you are very odd, bit off tangent that. No offence.
  8. To be honest mate, when the ban was being debated / passed, i never met one person who mentioned lurchers / terriers, or for that matter hares, mink etc. Everyone of them was ranting about "those posh c**ts who like chasing around poor foxes with a pack of hounds". You have to remember most of them didn't have a clue about fieldsports, and had probably never heard about lamping etc. They just wanted the mounted hunts gone. The rest of us just suffered by proxy. I was laughing yesterday, i mentioned the ban in a conversation with my old nan, and she said, "oh, i thought they had forgotten a
  9. Well done matey! Don't worry about the school boy error. Worst one i have ever done was out with another member off here, one of us each side of the hedge, ferrets in. . . . .waiting and nothing happening, decided to have a look with the locator and couldn't pick up anything, started going up and down the hedge and getting a bit worried and after a good half an hour i said, wonder where your stinkers are mate, and he said "my stinkers???" Both of us had assumed the other had entered their ferrets on their side. . . . All the ferrets were still in the boxes. Whoops!
  10. Just for the record, we can agree that this ban wasn't about animal rights yer? It was CLASS.
  11. Just got off the phone to deben and they told me to send it all in and that it was most likely that the transmitter rod had snapped! Apparently any knock or drop can quite easily make it snap inside, as they are "extremely brittle" and then it will give false readings! The lady said send them in and she will look at them same day they arrive for £35, and apparently they can be fixed (at a cost I'm sure!). So it might cost me, but not as much as a new locator!
  12. Nice idea, but the numbers just do not add up. It's mainly because you can still kill the animals, but just not in certain ways. I.E - I can quite legally go out with a shotty and the wrong sized load, body shot a fox and think, f**k it, can't be arsed to go and find it, just let it die slowly and that's legal. But, if i take a dog and purposefully kill a fox with it fairly quickly after giving it a decent chance of escape. Then they can take said dog, kill it, take my car and fine me. All in the name of stopping 'animal cruelty' Mad country we live in mate.
  13. Spot on mate! We would sort out more lads, but to be honest i just don't know any. I bred a litter of 5 this year and still have 4 of them. But most of the kids that i do meet are little shits, interested in x-box and footy. Tom is like a breath of fresh air mate! He id definatly going to be a credit to the sport in the years to come.
  14. Cheers guys, i will pass on your kind words to the wee man! I was really made up when he called me. When he first came out with us, he had never done anything ferreting related, and now after the end of last season and the start of this one, he can handle dogs and ferrets, find warrens, clear holes, lay nets, collar up ferrets, enter them, jump on a rabbit, dispatch it, and gut it. Makes me incredibly proud! It is also nice to see ferrets that you bred doing the job well. I have not bred a litter in years, and bred one this year just to give Tom a kit. There were only two jills in the
  15. As some of you probably know, johnnyboy and I took a young lad (14) under our wing, end of last season, by the name of Young Tom. He has been coming out with us regular since then, and has been a real pleasure to have around, always keen to learn and willing to get stuck in. Well, this year johhnyboy and I bred a litter of kits each, and gave a jill each to Tom, a poley from johnny, out of his best jill 'Poley' which Tom called Meg and a sandy from me, from my best jill 'Ruby', which Tom called Roxy. We took him out last Sunday and he tried them out for the first time, Meg is 6 month a
  16. Possibly mate. Whats worse is it just prolongs the cover and stops shit going to ground. I cannot fecking wait until we have the frost, snow and ice. I hate the warm.
  17. Cheers for all of the advice / suggestions - Replies are as follows Malt / weasle - good suggestions (for some reason had not thought of bleach!, and that stuff you are on about Malt sounds handy!). Any suggestions on wound powder? Joe/ Kittle - Virkon is what i have been using up till now. I have never thought of using a house spray! Might work i guess. What about that lime stuff, any thoughts? I will check out the johnsons anti-mite! I realised after i wrote it that i can't get Frontline online apart from from the states, which is too expensive and time consuming. I guess ve
  18. Not that much weirder than a bunch of folk getting together in a big stone building to worship a guy who was immaculatly concieved, is in fact his own father and a 'ghost' at the same time, rose from the dead, could walk on water. . . . . . Oh and the stone building has a smaller version of the instrument of his death all over it. . . . . . And the wiccans are the odd ones?
  19. Or it's a game market with folk bidding on lots. Notice the white cross on the hill in the background. Would suggest that it is a catholic area / country perhaps?
  20. Them mountains and that pic looks really familiar. Probably one of those things where groups of hunters all go out en-masse for a day and compete to get the biggest bag. Them 'racoons' look like polecats.
  21. I was just out cleaning out the ferrets and having a bit of a mess about with them and realised i have a few things to do and thought i would ask for some opinions. . . . . Firstly - I need to disenfect (thoroughly) the courts and hutches, and kill any parasites / eggs, as well as give them a good coating and seal before the winter bad weather sets in. Any suggestions on what are the best products for these jobs that are also harmless (completely) to the ferrets? Secondly - I have three hobs from this years litter in a court, a long with one of their sisters, and two older jills. The y
