At the moment the best devices to use worldwide are GSM devices,these are mobile phone technology,they will give an indication as to where the dog is anywhere in the world,but if you are looking for an exact location it would be dependent on the mobile phone network which is most reliable,also it would be more dependant on the device still being securely attached to the dog, Higgins

Ive said it earlier on this thread ill say it again,who do you blame for foreign workers taking your jobs? Its the governments fault,not the immigrant workers or the Muslims flooding into this country or the agencies,they are exploiting the situation to the maximum,but they couldnt do it without Labour [the party of the working man] letting them come here. the extra battery won't increase the range since the mk1/mk2 boxes are set at calibration to recieve transmit signals at the collars transmitting power,at best you would get long lasting power transmission and extra power for long duration,not absolutely certain this will increase detection range,atb, Higgins

I'm sure your refering to the Freeride which has 1 antenna,i'm also fairly certain the Ortovox S1 has 3 anttenna'a which pretty much puts it on the same level as Mammut Barryvox Pulse AND Bellman pieps etc, Higgins
