  3. A good mate of mine is a scrap fella,i get some good stuff off him sometimes for free,i think he is struggling a bit now as he just does pick ups from phone calls,he says there are too many at it now competition is fierce.I have yet to meet a scrap man that can do anything with fridge freezers though,(there's a fortune waiting to be claimed) Higgins
  4. Catcher i too have had enough of wooden kennel bousings, impossible to keep clean and germ/smell free etc;the other reason i've opted for concrete is because i have a family dog here that is very destructive to wood and he has been known to dismantle a few of my kennel and runs with his bare teeth, also this should last longer and be easier to clean, Higgins
  5. still got these if anyone interested, Higgins
  6. Jaykay the stuff on factory/industrial floors that is smooth and shiny like concrete,it could be levelling compound but i'm sure it's resistant to anything, i would finishb off with that looks the business, Higgins.

  11. I'm not turfing it as the ground needed a lot of prep work anyway to level it off,so i figured i may as well seed it instead, and what is proper lawn seed is there a particular brand that is better or is it down to the blend of different types?I have bought some Canada Green and some other stuff,is the Canada Green any good, would it be better to blend my own seeds? Also what can i put over the seeds to prevent birds eating them? Higgins.

I am about to start a new lawn off using grass seed,so far i've dug the area roughly and broken it up,just have to keep raking it for a few more days to get all rubbish out and make the soil fine. What else should i be doing or using to make the soil better for seeding, there seems to be a lot of roots about which i've been chopping and pulling out,has anyone any tips on getting a good lawn going, thanks, Higgins
  16. I am upgrading to larger solar panels soon when i build my new workshop and kennels. One is a 20 watt panel suitable for charging one leisure battery to power lights for shed or kennels, the other is watts and i am currently charging 2 leisure batteries to provide all my power needs in my shed and kennels. watt panel is still in use and can be seen working before i take it down.I'm looking for £60 for 20 watt panel and £200 for watt, here's some pics of them.. 20 watt panel watt panel collection only and csah if possible, please pm for more details if possible, thanks, Higgins

  19. I'm building a new kennel and shed combined soon so am looking for suggestions, ideas and tips before i start. All i know is i've decided to opt for a concrete block type rather than wood, the kennel will be separated (partitioned but still within) from the workshop/shed and will have a galv panel and door front.I will be using solar to power all lights and other appliances necessary as it will be built at bottom of garden. What would be the best way to attach roof and what materials would be best, don't want to do a roof tiling affair(unless most people suggest this is best) just something lig

  22. Not sure this would be legal, maybe farners are allowed to to do it on lambs, but adult dogs ?Think you would be in trouble attempting this if it didn't go wrong first, Higgins
