  1. used a 12 bore,20 bore and think the best gun for me is the 410 pistol!!but every body has there own preferance on which they use?

  6. nice dogs,but for f..k sake how many terriers were out that day,the days of takin 8 and 10 terriers out have long gone!!remember 2 or more dogs and your braking the law,come on lads buck up?
  7. Yes Goldfinch a week old she had 8 6 dogs and 2 bitches 1 dog died yesterday a new it would happen though!! nice litter of pups you have there,nice ta see a few more pics in a couple of weeks acepack?
  8. tend ta use yellow draw cord ian,used pegs but if any stock in field they tend ta tramp um in!
  9. if your gonna buy the traps go for the barrel traps,the scissor traps are good,but only when youve been doing it for a while,always flatten your heaps down and return in morning,that way you know were the moles(mowdies) are working,they like to travel more to wet area's !!good luck

  12. none of the old school are gonna put pictures up of there dogs with new or old battle scars!!they dont need to prove what there dogs are worthy of!!me for one would not put my dogs on!!!
  13. Could have been been Paul Whitehead (as in the Photo) was a legend at the Pennine at the time,moved from there to the Lunesdale and can still be seen "Going over the hill" if you can keep up !   17. thats better then i can do with traps if ya dog gets 9 out of 10 moles,theres plenty of work for him up here in the lakes...put 20 barrel traps down this week end and caught 16...good hunting
  18. another good shovel is the spear and jackson round mouth,9:inch wide and 10:inch deep..wooden shaft,26 quid at any good agricultural supplier,still dont beat the carbon fibre of the good old bulldog!!
  19. if ya can get the bull dog carbon fibre shaft,either the small or large round mouths,the large can be cut down,are a great piece of shovel..use them day in day out,diggin gravels and of a week end out with the tykes...

No ..Oxcroft mostly,just worker to worker ..A breed thats hard to get a happy medium with .Either yappers or too hard generally i thats right,me mate had a couple of levis stuff,mind you that was 15yrs ago,the dog was ?dog was called keeper and was worked hard round lancs area..bith called crag was another,that wasnt shy at goin forward,both excellent working borders,couldnt fault them!!
