  1. I know i have put a bit off pointless information up ...but for the record i put two tag's on a hawk and im yet to come unstuck..if the batteries in your lost tranny are half fresh it can easily be found by torch light or the next day.
  2. I once new a fellow who owned a 1/2 cross whippet grey..it was a bitch and made 24tts..it was like lightening but burned out quickly.
  3. Have you seen the cigarette lighter's with the little blue LED torches on them..you can by 10 of the lighters for a £1 in a shop near me..they last for ages and if you take the LED light out of the lighter with the little battery pack im sure you would be able to tape it to a transmitter similar in size to a RT+....other than that i have read something many moon's ago about little light's that can be fitted to harris hawk's so they can be spotted when out lamping..but i can't for the life of me remember where i read it.
  4. Ive had a few over the year's that do this just keep taking them out in the car and they will get past the sickness eventually..it might be wise to stick the pup in a dog cage till the sickness stop's just to save you getting vomit all over your car seat's.
  5. I have a 13yr old dog here that used to love them and i also used to have a bitch that died at the age of 8yr she would of been 14 now..i have dug to them and bolted many more with the two dog's i have mentioned..these are the old type plummer's before the breed got messed about with in the end of the 90's..so i could not comment on the new strain of plummer's.
  6. I'm swayed into thinking it could be a bird of prey around the size of a buzzard or goshawk and the hawk must of been disturbed while trying to pluck your chicken to death..if it was a mink/stoat or anything else with teeth i'm sure the chicken would of been killed pretty quick...and not left with the kind of wound's you describe.
  7. I can do what i want... ..but thank's for the warning.
  8. If you where one of the idiot's driving around crop field's and ripping big rut's through the farmer's lively hood aswell as leaving deer in the field's where they where killed to rot..i really hope the police catch you and throw away the key.
  9. I have about 15 nice coloured hen quail here that i will swap to anyone who has a load of cock bird's..the reason being they are going to be hawk food i i dont want to waste the nice colour hen bird's that have been laying loads of egg's for a couple of weeks. Millet
  10. Ive forgot to get some food out the freezer for the ferret's derek so if you are desperate to get rid of that red crow i can make good use of it..
  11. rabbit's and more rabbit's .that is all they are regularly good for. its not :/ typical goshawk noob they do well on pheso's, duck, moorhens, coots etc. will usually take quarry to the size of brown hare but i have known them to take geese, greater black back gulls and one gutsy female took a heron. the bird was ok but a heron WILL kill your bird so do not fly at them. what experience do you have? surely even if your new to this, you should know each bird has a different weight that you have to find and you should also no what quarry is legal. are you using telemetry? do you have a mentor
  12. rabbit's and more rabbit's .that is all they are regularly good for.
  13. Ive had a few mountain goats with a 3lb 6 female harris..but the best flight by far was on a wounded french snail that had been salted by a road hooligan when he hit a salted puddle in winter time..the snail was slowed but still made good ground..
  14. Mota Roma 50 here.. my bro bought it for 350 a month ago and the Police have stopped him from using it yesterday on common ground with the kid's riding so he want's rid..if you can get near the bought price it is your's..if you want pic.s i will stick some up
  15. I think the new site is spot on and does not look or seem much different to the old one now it has been tweaked a little.

  18. I had to rear a litter of 4 russell's years ago when the bitch got eclampsia a day after having them...i got the bottle's and teat's from the vet's and fed them on lactol every 4hrs until a fortnight old..it has the mixing ratio instruction's on the tin..when they get past the 2wk stage the feed's can be spaced out a bit longer..also don't forget to wipe there back end's with a damp cloth or tissue after feeding to stimulate them to empty them self's..good luck with them.
  19. The only way you can fix that is by licking it in person..BUT beware of the beak if you hit the wrong spot..
  20. It's just the same as it was before you upgraded it me think's..
  21. You are knackered really and the chance of you getting the collar back are very slim..if the burrow is not huge it could be worth while trenching on but if it had happened to me i would forget about the collar and put it down to one of life's little experience's. Edited to add ..can you not get hold of a powerful magnet and tie it to the end of a bamboo cane..that way you wont have to trench on as much.
  22. If it's showing your missis it's nut's it's got to be a male
