  1. when ferreting i just use long hazel sticks and hock the rabbits on them when lamping i just use a decoy bag or just hock as many rabbits as i can onto my battery pack strap . . . .

  4. im looking to get a bull\greyhound after christmas just wonderin what you would all think would be best for the land a i work wich is mostly old quarries and rough grazing land. i also need the dog to work with terriers my friends reckon a 3/4 bred dog but just wonderin what you lads think ?

  12. a few years back now i was walking through some forestry with the dogs who are off when all of a sudden something hit my shoulder . . . . turns out was a young sparrowhawk i gingerly picked him up and put it on a branch where it sat there for a couple of seconds he sat there then flew to a higher branch . . . . i think the dogs may have surprised him of a meal but was a wierd experiance . . . . ive also been out netting at night i sat down under a tree when a tawny owl flew at me screeching scared the shit out of me . . .

  18. no offence matey but youve done very little gatenetting ( if any )? if youdid you would know that it is very hardto balance the stones and it is also very loud not what you want when you plan to do the nieghbouring fields . . .   19. this is the same sort of land we hunt aslong has your dog has a good take off speed then it will quite often make the deer panc and hit fences ect . . . preban of course
