    Might be a long shot but thought I'd try on here to find a home for my brothers miniture jack russel. He's 2 1/2 years old, neutured and black and white. Bad points are does not like kids and can be funny with other dogs in a confined space. Ok with other dogs in the field. Never really been worked but got a hell of a spirit in him. Would make an excellent little ratting or set dog for someone who's got time and more importantly pateience to put into him. Reason for getting rid is because me brother works away through the week and their lass works full time and is expecting their first child a

    All in all not a bad day. Sun was shining, birds were singing and the bairn was quiet Roll on next weekend and we'll have a look at this new permission.

    Decided to start the season off properly so off we went to North Yorks yesterday morning, me, the old fella, johnrthrfrd off here and the bairn. Got down to the land at about 7.30, as we went through the first gate there were 3 rabbits sat out in the field, quick lift of the gun out of the passenger window = first one in the bag. Made us way down to an area where we'd seen plenty on previous days, netted up and stuck the long net around as and added precaution. In went 5 ferrets, rabbits flying out everywhere managed to get 4 and lost 4. Glad longnet was there as it picked 2 up. Lifted nets a

    Had a run out to some of my permission today that i've had for the last few years. It's only a small bit of land so I only go a couple of times a year to it. Last season when I was out there did a bit of knocking and made a few phone calls to some of the farmers in the area but got the same response off them all " Thanks but no thanks." To my surprise today after going round last time some of the farmers had been checking up on me to find out who i was and where i was from.     Well it's true what they say, all good things come in three's. Went down thursday morning to check my livestock, and to my delight there was a healthy new filly. Friday morning saw the arrival of some baby chicks. This morning went to feed the ferrets and the tell tale squek squek was coming from the jill's bed. A quick discreet peek in and I counted about 14 little blighters. All in all a cracking few days.
