Well got to hand it to you, that is one hell of a set up that. I now feel sorry for my birds: all they have is galvanised security fencing for their runs at the minute :laugh:

oh geese always been frightened of them since I was a kid.. Was out fishing with my dad when I was really young, was standing at waters edge and here comes a big Canadian goose attacked me I run and it jumped on my back. Put the fear of god into me, never went near a goose since.(It's funny now but not at the time ) But I hate being scared of anything so I have plans to get a couple of just hatchers to bring up myself but not done it as of yet but it's in the pipeline

I see it's got off to a good start thanks folks I do love ducks but as said they can be messy - year before last I bought 11 chicks and 9 ducklings all one day old. That is how it all began now its a funny farm Yes but anyway, I found out rather quickly that chickens are way more cleaner than ducks - really it's because of the damn water I'd love a few muscovys cause supposedly they are really quiet? Be a nice change of the noise pollution that them magpie ducks give off lol But after hearing they are supposedly flighty birds as in can fly(?) - I was worried they'd f**k off (exc

I done serama last year and the year before. I know what you mean by the suicide gene. I always got one or two die after pipping. I dont think you can get "pure" as the Jap banty is in its heritage. The Serama is a fairly new breed(its only been shown in the last 10 or so years) and the Jap is part of its make up. Also, they dont breed true.Trouble with heavy reading, reading, reading is, I cant remember what I read about rectifying it. Seeing as there isn't one I thought, hey let's start one I'll kick it off.. Presently have 3 magpie ducks. 1. Black/white 2. Brown/white and 3. A pure white one. Also have a magpie drake who is black/white very well marked They're a multi purpose duck, all rounders should we say In the past I've had khaki Campbell's, Cayuga's, Swedish and a few others. So if you have ducks, want ducks, need info about ducks or had ducks in the past - lets hear about them.
