  1. Yep pure class. Ask about immigration and you're a biggot. More importantly he looked and sounded so impotent when answering her questions.
  2. Thanks for the clarification. I'll probably ask for 3 .22 rifles on my FAC. How specific do you have to be? Are you just specifying the caliber or the type of rifle e.g. sport/target? I understand if I wanted a moderator I'd also have to specify that as well. If I had three .22 could I switch them around from target rifle to sport rifle as long as they are the same caliber? For example have two target rifles and a .22 sport then sell one target rifle and buy a sport rifle? I'm not sure how the police look on asking for more rifles to be on the ticket although they can always say
  3. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
  4. Cheers mate was just hoping to save a few quid. It will be a while before I'll need to have the variation so there's no rush.
  5. How likely would it be to have the .22 for vermin as well if I don't have any permission yet?
  6. Hi folks I'll be ready to start my application for my FAC in a month or so. I've been doing prone target shooting with .22 rimfire at the local club, this isn't anything like using a sport rifle, the rifles weight 12-14 lb and you shoot wearing a jacket and sling. While I started doing this to meet other shooters I've really been enjoying it and will keep it as a hobby. As I am expecting to become a full member fairly soon I'll be able to put in my FAC. As I don't have any permission to shoot on I suspect they will only let me use the rifles for target shooting to begin with. My quest
  7. We suffered a bit with barking at night time. Every time he did it we took him outside to go to the toilet even if he didn't need it. It didn't take long for it to subside. However he continued to get us up early for a few weeks. The turning point was once he had been given his jabs and was allowed to go out. The longer walks seemed to make a work of difference. Now he wakes between 7 and 8am which is about the same time as our 4 year old. At least dogs grow up faster than kids each phase only lasts a short time in comparison Oh by the way I also used to leave the TV or radio on very
  8. I'd have to say you should respect your dads wishes, he's taking you shooting which is something alot of people would give their right arm to have. In time if you still feel the same way ask him and give him a good reason rather than badger. You never really know what other people are like outside of close freinds and family.
  9. Have you got a crate for him? I found it really helped with giving our dog security. IF he felt insecure at any time he could go in it and he slept in there as well. It also helped with toilet training as they dont like to go to the toilet in it. I also bought some cuddly toys and put a few blankets in it. At night I coverf the top and sides with some old towels as well. Good luck with the pup he looks great
  10. I've often wondered that as well. Not sure ibuprofen is the right drug for a head ache though, it's an anti inflamatory so paracetamol should work much better for pain relief. Often headaches are caused by dehydration so I wonder if the the big glass of water that you drink with a pill is what helps get rid of it. Ibuprofen is also bad for your stomach if your have any problems like an ulcer.

    Burka

I recon they do it as part of a campaign to show their force of numbers. I work in many muslim countries and the girls dont want to wear them. Where they do it's usually part of the culture that forces them to wear them i.e. they get treated worse if they don't. Places where they are rare are Algeria and Libya. They are allways worn in public in Saudi due to the law, but in office buildings such as their head quarters of the oil company they dont wear them. It's ironic that the parents/grand parents of the british ones came here for our freedoms and didn't want to wear stuff like that. I'd lik

    Airlines

I think if you've taken travel insurance out they will pay all the remaining losses appart from the airline ticket.
  14. I've had a chance to use both the GuideLine 4 Cast dry and Sixth Sense Di 3 intermediate. The guide line was very very nice to cast with. It has a belly near the end of the line which gives extra weight and then tapers off. It might be a bit heavy for presentation fishing dry flies but with my casting ability it is well matched and also works well with the rod. The Sixth Sense Di3 wasn't as nice but maybe intermediate lines aren't. It did tend to get tangled more when I had a lot of line at my feet and made casting harder. It sank well, much faster than I expected it to. I used it at P
  15. Where did you get that from mate? A violent crime can be someone being pushed onto the floor, or slapped around the face, which is hardly serious, it doesn't always represent someone being battered into a coma, or stabbed. And it still doesn't change the fact that their murder rate in the USA is worse than ours (Especially by gun). How you doin' Aaron, Your last few words there I agree with 100%, which is why I said originally that I don't think we should be looking to the USA for solutions to our own problems. Would it not be that the crime rate is higher in the major cities
  16. In the UK if you put barbed wire up you can be sued by someone entering your property and getting injured by it....if you are broken in to while in bed you are allowed to use 'proportionate force' i.e.e you need to nip down stairs in your slippers and check how they are armed before picking up a cricket bat or knife to defend you family. I think there are problems with the american system but it's rediculous how anyone can critisise it when our own system protects criminals more than the victims.
  17. UK - Violent crime rate is equivalent to 2300 per 100,000 inhabitants. USA - Violent crime rate per 100,000 inhabitants was 469.2 Not everything is as simple as it sounds. American has more gun crime that is true but if the above can be believed the UK is more dangerous in different ways. Source
  18. doesnt seem that bad compared with the alternatives.
  19. ASDA pay as you go is very good value mate It is sim card only but you could then pick up a cheap nokia
  20. I don't leave my daughter unsupervised dog or not. I want to be within earshot of her at the very least i.e. in the next room or playing in the garden. If she is playing with the dog we watch them as she still pulls him about from time to time. I can't understand what the parents were thinking to leave such a young child in the same room as a dog of any breed. My dog still probably looks upon our daughter as below him in the pecking order or at the very least an equal.
  21. Those who have for political reasons created a welfare trap over decades leading to 8 million people being economically inactive as they are better off sat on their arses doing nothing all day, rather than working in many of the jobs migrants come here to do. To blame the immigrants who have been allowed to migrate to the UK by a combination of EU diktat, porus borders and complicit British governments is like blaming a rifle and bullets for shooting at you, rather than focusing your anger on the person selecting the targets, aiming the rifle, pulling the trigger, the reloading for another
  22. When I was young and at college it wasn't too hard to find a part time job. It gave me some money to be a bit independant and it also taught me about what it was like to have a job and how to behave in the work place. My 17 year old daughter is now at college and is finding it very hard to find a part time job. If she doesn't get one it is entirely possible that she will get through university without these valuable experiences. It is part of growing up to have had these life experiences. So I admire anyone who wants to work but as alot of unskilled jobs that could have gone to the young/
