She may ahve had her bad sides and most people are bitter about the unions etc but she was against printing money and wanted to keep public spending under control. In my house if I dont have money we dont spend it and the less I earn the less I spend. I don't start borrowing to keep up the lifestyle, that is what Thatcher did and exactly the oposite of what Labour are all about. They are even borrowing money now. This country has a deficit so bad that only iceland and greece (two bankrupt countries) are worse than us so the global resession alone cannot be blamed it is poor management. Right o

Whether you like Thatcher or not when they came in to power they were handed a shattered economy and when they left power the economy was in good shape with a positive ballence sheet. All Labour did was go on a massive spending spree benefiting from a booming global economy. Now they've spent billions of pounds they didn't have because that is their trade mark. I could understand someone not wanting the tories and even voting Liberal.

Cheers mate that was an informative post! As Steve was saying do you think they don't contribute to the same vermin found in the country? What got me thinking was after all the shooting of pigeon and corvids do birds from the towns replace them or do they stay put where they are? I suppose it would make sense that they would stay where the food is. If thats the case it's interesting that there are seperate populations that don't change their feeding and breeding grounds.

Like ? "Power to the People!!"

The key word is VOTE! How many millions of people don't even bother then moan about the state of the country. Voter turnout

I think it's probably a fact that cities and towns are full of vermin species such as pigeon, magpie, squirels, foxes etc. When I go to the local parks I am allways amazed at how prevalent they are and how rare it is to see song birds and other animals. My question is are towns responsible for an increase in numbers of vermin in the countryside? Do they breed in cities and move to the country or are they likely to stay where they are? Edited to say the reason I wanted to know is whether the fact that towns don't control these number affects country issues?

We'll take him! Geert for prime minister

I agree then the main partys here would realy be shiting it.It makes me wonder though have ukip been formed to take support away from the B.N.P. I recon BNP are more likely to poach labour supporters, UKIP will appeal more to the middle classes who agree with some of what the BNP say but can't bring themselves to vote for them. UKIP could hurt the Tories more though which is dangerous ground. PVV look like they could actually win in Holland which could be a catalist for the rest of europe.
-
Also UKIP are worth a look. They did very well in the european elections and have policies on all issues. http://www.ukip.org/ I wish we had Geert Wilders party to vote for. Holland are very lucky to have a guy like that.

I think it depends where you live. I think if a seat is marginal between labour and torie I'd have to go tory and forgo the protest vote as I am genuinely worried labour will get in again, second to that a hung parliment would be bad news as I can see libdem and labour forming a government. I live in a liberal stronghold so if tory have no change I'll be voting BNP. First we need these nut jobs out of government before they completely destroy the country. Then we need a party who care first about the country and the real british people. If the BNP will be the only party to put out country

"The 39 scrap metal workers were detained. Argentina sent its troops to rescue them and, while they were about it, invaded the Falkland Islands. " I dont think the would need a full blown amphibious assault force to rescue a handful of scrap metal workers. Something like this takes months to plan. It was the 'while they were about it' bit that made me laugh but then it was the BBC who was reporting sensitive information while the taskforce was underway. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/8599404.stm

He was the chancellor while Blair was in power. He is directly responsible for our financial mess. When the got in power they started spending andd never stopped. Check out how he sold off our gold reserve at rock bottom prices. I wouldn't trust him with a milk round let alone the country. Each to their own though

what do you mean people like yourself?

no I just hope everyone who hates them gets out and votes this time.

The other problem I found was the regulations are a bit stupid. Most fitters will tell you that you HAVE to have an air brick which in a drafty victorian house is rediculous. The regs also state you need a hearth that will extend 9" from the front of your burner. This is sensible in my opnion having used mine all winter. Sometimes you get a coal roll out on to the floor if you aren't careful. It's also worth getting a decent cowl to stop down drafts and rain getting in.

There are different grades. 904 is the better grade and 316 the cheaper one. As they have double skins I opted for 904 inner and 316 outer. I can't exactly remember what I paid but I think it was something like £26 per/m. It is worth looking in to in detail and will also depend on what you want to burn.

Weren't most of the arrests UAF wierdos?

Hi Mate I totally agree. Thanks for the info, it didn't look right to me and she didn't sound like a bad person. I want to send a message of support what would be the best way? Card or phone call?

I deleated everyone on mine except a handful of people I know well. Too much information to be put on the internet for my liking.

My lab is always full of energy when I take him out. I let him have a good run and play before doing training. I find he walks to heel very well on the way back from the park but is hard work when on the way there. He's just 5 months so I'll cut him some slack. Once he's burned up some energy I then do all my discapline type training and it seems to work well. I dont want him running riot and getting deaf to my shouting him when he isn't going to behave anyway. The phrase I keep reminding myself is one I heard on her many times "Don't set your self up for failure"

They wanted to get her for the sale of a fish no doubt they then went through the entire stock of animals and found a single bird with some kind on injury. This must mean that the entire stock of animals were in good health appart from this one. How could it have injured it's leg in a cage? Is it not possible that she was telling the truth and lets face it she's probably poor trying to run a business and with other things on her mind. It would seem likely that the bird came damaged, had she killed it there and then there would have been no problem it seems but instead maybe she was trying to n

I'll bet there were alot of animals in that shop but only one was concidered to be in poor condition. She said she had been nursing the bird. Maybe she didn't want to have it killed. The irony is before that council worker went in that shop the bird was alive.

Cabin Crew Wages I recon over 30 grand for serving drinks is bloody good money. I was earning less than that working 14 hour days in the Sahara desert, Algeria. The conditions were horrible, food barely eddible and not much in the way of safety.

I cant imagine that BA is such a bad company to work for and I'll bet the money is half decent. I don't think they can be compared with miners who worked for low wages for a national company and in a dangerous environment. I'll bet BA staff get decent wages and pension and a pretty cushy working environment. Far better conditions than most people.
