If they are getting the right diet they dont need anything else..

I skin if fresh, if freezing i leave the skin on ( to prevent / kill fleas ) With guts out but i chop feet and tail off and rip the skin well back so they can get to the meat easier

How long ago was he in with them and did he try to mount / scruff them ? If he is entire ( still got his nuts ) he may be getting horny or if neutered may just be a case of he is pleased to have some ferret company, either could make him eat less as he wants to be back with them

Agreed it would've been a better idea to get 2 jills and 1 hob but as for two hobs fighting at 5 months and needing seperate cages, not in my experience. mine started ragging / wrestling at 5 1/2 to 6 months and ones back was a right mess, i meant separate cages eventually not at that age, and i agree with Ideation, occasionally hobs can be housed together but its rare in my experience.

Should have got 2 jills and one hob and had him snipped. To save you coming back on in 12 weeks asking why your hobs are fighting, they will probably need separate cages.

If she is a good worker i would give her time, she came good with you so may with the dogs. You dont know her history before she came to you, she may have been mistreated and if so it takes time for her to trust.

Dust extracted shavings are good and cheap for big bales, the concrete will be fine.. easy to hose down and it helps keeps their claws down a bit
