  2. I dont know any of the people who have posted pics of their kennels, dont know them from their posts and dont know where they live from looking at the pics, so lets say I was a potential dog theif, Im not going to get a very good turn out of reading these forums am I? Id be better off going through the paper looking for lurcher pups advertised and then going to look at the peoples kennels cos that arouses less suspiciouns, or maybe drive around and look for someone walking there dogs and follow them back to their house without them noticeing. What Im trying to say is there is easier ways of ge
  3. Theres only a risk of your dogs being pinched if someone sees your pics and recognises who you are or where you live. I think theres more risk of having your dogs nicked if your out walking them and someone follows you home, or if you have workmen doing some work on your property and they get a chance to look around your kennels and see the layout. thats more risky than a pic on a forum IMO
  4. it costs next to nothing to worm a dog and pups especially need it as they are growing fast and pick up all sorts of things and eat them when theyre out and about, shame for the pup to be like that but good to hear its got a good home and has been wormed now

  6. Heres my theory, I think that sheep are used to dogs and humans because farmers use dogs and quadbikes to round them up so even though they run, they are not terrified and dont give off the scent of fear whereas a deer is a wild animal and they are literally fleeing for their lives if a dog is after them, so the smell of the fear or adrenaline or whatever is stronger from a deer and I think they have anal/scent glands under their tails they use for scent marking their territory? so maybe they give off scent from these glands when they are running off which is what draws a dog to them? Its just
  7. 2 years is a good time to start them off, but really you want to start them on short light lessons either riding or driving and then turn them away to mature for a while. horses/ponies arent fully matured til they are 5 years old and many a good horse or pony is ruined by too much work too young, it puts strain on joints, backs etc its the same as working dogs really if you do too much too young with a pup you can risk sickening them. good luck selling him tho he is a fine looking little pony
