  1. Hi All. Well Shooter123 was true to his word, he turned up today with the two rifles at the point we agreed to meet. When I arrived he was sat waiting in his car with his young family in tow. We got straight down to business and I was very happy with the rifle, although the scope was not a lot of copp to be honest. I did not have the oppertunity to shoot the rifle propper, but it cycled ok and was in good order. Giles ( Shooter123 ) assured me the rifle would shoot well, so I took his word. As soon as I got home I put the chrono on the rifle, and was pleasntly supprised at th
  2. Hi all. Arranged to meet shooter123 mid way between the pair of us. After a phone call to confirm I started my 90 mile round trip to meet him. When I eventialy found the place Giles was sat in the car with his young family waiting. We got straight down to business with the Rifles. The rifle I was looking at was the .22, it had the usual knocks and scrapes you would expect from a hunting rifle that has been used. The scope on it was not much copp to be honest, but the rifle worked ok, and we did a deal there and then. As soon as I got home I put the rifle over the chrono, and w

  6. Thanks Bill, i cant really bad mouth HC they fixed my gun for free when it could of cost me £££'s i'll have a look at the hammer spring see if i can have a play around with that see what happens. to be honest tho i think its going to have to go to a gun smith, id rather be safe in the knowledge my guns legal than locked up for a firearms offence. ATB Dom Hi Dom. The very nature of the repair could have some bearing on your problem. There could be some small particules of swarf kicking about inside the valve?? If you do have a play with the hammer spring, go no more
  7. hi Simon. The anti tamper is locked in place and would have no effect on the problem at all. It sounds to me like the reg and hammer tention have not been set properly, and its dumping air, because the firing valve is staying open for to long. Proberbly due to the hammer spring being too heavy. Its a fine balance between the two to get the optimum performance from the rifle. Im no expert mind you But what I will say is, I would rather send the rifle to A&M than Hull cartridge. At least with Adi, you know you will be getting a finly tuned rifle back, that has been done p
  8. Hi Dom. I had a simular problem with mine a while back. New rifle, and the power crept up to about 12.40, accuracy went to pot. Also barrel came loose, which added to the problem. I have recently sent mine away to Adi at A&M Custom Gunsmiths. He has set the reg and hammer tention, decreased lock time. Set the rifle ftlb to what I wanted. Lapped the crown. Also some other work to the interals that I asked for. Added another grub screw to secure the barrel. Trigger sears polished too. The consistancy of the rifle is now spot on, all for the princly sum of £130 inc ret
  9. Hi all. I have just spoken to shooter123 on the phone. He seems like a decent chap, and explained to me what happened on the other forum. Because he advertised a rifle twice in 28 days, he broke the forum rules, and was banned. He also trusted a guy by sending off a break barrel rifle for him to look at, never saw the rifle or the money to date. So you can appreciate his reluctance to send again. I am meeting him tomorrow to do a deal with the .22 S10. I asked him all manner of questions about the S10,and he didnt hold back or hesitate with his replies. Seems like
  10. Hi 123 Im In DEVON, how far down in Cornwall are you ? bill.

  16. Hi Jack. Must admit I have done it on occasion I have suggested a porobation period on the site to the mods. Where by a new member joining the forum needs a certain amount of posts and time on the forum, say 3 months before they are able to buy, sell, or swop items. If members want to do a deal via PMs then fair enough, good luck to them. Also that people display on their avatar where they are from, and maybe post code. Cant see anyone objecting, unless there are special circumstances i.e. forces personel. Nothing is fail safe I know, but it would help stop chancers popp

  19. Hi Guys. Its always sad to hear about this sort of crud I hope you take the pond life to the cleaners, and follow up what you say regarding the police. Far too much of this going on, not just here either. It makes everyone a bit cautious about doing deals, could ruin the whole process for everyone in the end....these numpties need taking to task. I wish you well and good luck sorting it all out, and hope you get your kit back. Please keep us up to date with the outcome, and thanks for taking the time to warn all of us. ATB. Bill.
  20. Hi Ian. Congrats on the site looks good. Personal oppinion, the text could be bigger On the Zeroing a new rifle, might be good to advise cleaning the barrel buy pulling it through, before any leading in takes place. Most manufacturers coat the inside of the barrels with oil to prevent corosion in storage. Not nit picking mate, just trying to help ATB. Bill.
  21. Hi BS. Good shooting and nice picture mate ATB. Bill.
