Airgun world BSA Scopian SE

Hi BBB. Yes your right, fine seems to be the thin margin But, I think most of the reviews are pretty fair and as accurate as they can be. Its a pity that some are not more in depth, giving chrono readings and pellet tests, grouping, distance shooting etc, I reckon that would make for more interesting reading than, nice sleek lines, handles well, good finnish, and all the rest of the blurb. Crazy isnt it.......keeping up with demand could be a real problem for them......I just hope that the quality control and production dosnt suffer for it With the problems that hovered over the R10, you would think they will want the SE to be the Mutts Nuts. Bill. -
Hi Rik. Welcome to THL What Rifle are you shooting mate, you have said its .22 is it a springer or PCP. Most of us use a domed head pellet for hunting bunnies. Barrels can be fussy beggers as far as pellets go, if it is a new rifle you have, be sure to pull through the barrel and clean it before anything else really mate. Once the guys know what rifle you have, they can suggest a few pellets to you from past or existing knowledge and trials. ATB. Bill.

Hi Moley. No getting past you is there BSA have only just started building the next batch apparently......talk about see how the land lays. With the pedigree and popularity of the Scorpian, you would have thought production was a bit quicker than present My mucker may have to wait for another two weeks before he sees his, and we ordered two at the same time!! Hi Jamie. A SP ( Slut Point ) is awarded to a person/post, and is a compliment. In your profile, you will see a reputation line of stars, the more slut points, the better your reputation. ( Well I think thats how it works ) To award a SP the is a little box ( Like this ) at the bottom right of the page, if you click on this it awards that person a SP.......or it used to, the format on here has recently changed. While Im here.....I thought the clarity of your pictures was brilliant, what camera are you using mate ? ATB. Bill.

Sweeney-Todd replied to Sweeney-Todd's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi Si and Elliot. There has already been talk about fitting a Tench reg to the SE. Apparently it dosnt come without problems of sorts. The oppinion seems to be that a secondary guage will need to be fitted.......works in progress for the tuners I think. More info on BSAOG Bill. -

Hi Si. Glad you have left LJ to keep a grip on the table wreckers When you go to Swindon and visit Davy and Andy, be gentle with them I dont think you need have worries about the performance of the SE or yourself. Although you may have a problem prising the SE out of their hands if you let them try it out This is a big leap forward for BSA after some of the problems they had with a few of the R10s. Nice shot on the fly by the way........I did the same with a Midge at 50yds :tongue2:  ATB. Bill. -
BSA Scorpian SE .22 Chrono.
Sweeney-Todd replied to Sweeney-Todd's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi Mike. I have put about a 1000 pellets through her now, including the chrono I have just completed. To be honest I think most of the rough edges are seen to now. A spring rifle will bennifit from a good bedding in, but with a PCP the power does not really increase that much with use, air pressure remains constant within the rifle, the hammer hitting the valve may smooth out a bit, but thats all really. Will try her again in a bit. ATB. Bill. -

Hi Si. Glad you found it interesting Hopefully......... as the SE is the new boy on the block, all these little bits n bobs in the posts from different people will prove usfull to new owners of the SE. Finding out all the little quirks etc, and comparing notes. Your spot on with the figures and pressures there mate The pellets were straight from the tin, not wieghed, so even more impressive results I think. Cant put this rifle down, loving it  Be interesting to see if yours prefers the 180 fill aswell ATB. Bill.
