  1. Hiya Si. Thanks very much for your comment mate I hope the time passes quickly for you, and your soon back home where you belong. Antique pine, nice shade that Si, will look the mutts nuts when finnished Glad your getting on with your Tac 30 too, very pleased with mine, crystal clear and sharp as a pin, great ret too. You take care mate. ATB. Bill.
  2. Hi All. Well, I have put about 800 pellets through the SE now, so thought I would have her over the Chrono for a look. Considering this is a non regd rifle straight out of the box, with no tuning, I was happy with the results. I have found with my rifle, that she prefers a 200 Bar fill, rather than the reccomended 232 Bar. From the 200 Bar fill, down to 90 Bar, the rifle returned a shot count of 110. 515......Start of 200 Bar fill using JSB Exacts 15.9 grn .22 520 524 525 523 524 528 530 525 528 527 532 533 534 536 537 540 537 540 540 542 543 541 5

  4. Hi Ste. I know what you mean mate........half inch shorter and they would have called me Willamina....not William  If you sort a shade out, let us know what you think buddy ATB. Bill.
  5. Hi Si. Thanks mate it was a nice mooch in good company. ATB. Bill.
  6. Hi Elliot. Yes mate its the Scorpian SE, and YES, actually, it shoots far better than it looks Very pleased with it buddy, worth the money definately. They are availiable with a Walnut stock end of Sept/Oct. ATB. Bill.
  7. Hiya Si. Cheers buddy Your right mate, it is a brilliant rifle the more I shoot it the less likely I feel to put it down. I reckon BSA will have a problem keeping up with the demand, although there are signs of this already. They seem to have got the quality and niggles sorted for the launch too, not heard of any problems yet. Could be the best seller this year......what do you think? ATB. Bill.
  8. Always a proud moment when you manage a corvid, especially crows, which in my opinion are the most difficult and intelligent quarry - so I was pretty pleased with two! Yes the bird of prey decoys are fantastic, especially when the young have fledged the nest, grown in confidence and the fields have been bailed - such as my shoot. Good luck when you have a pop, let me know how you get on ATB Will do buddy
  9. Hi Gary. Lovely pup mate Mind you, if you poked a lolly stick up my nose.......I think id stick my tounge out at you too So..........whos gonna walk it then  SHAAAANAAAAN Pet.......were are you !!! ATB. Bill.
  10. Hi Elliot. Nice post and pictures mate. Congrats on your corvids, nice shooting. Been talking about getting the deeks out for a bit of fun, and reading your post has spurned me on now ATB. Bill.
  11. Hi all. Well after building bricks and reading stories with my Grandson, I grabbed the SE and went for a couple of hours mooch. Not expecting to see much, but glad to be able to get out. Following the hedgerows, my first target presented itself, lased at 36yds, squeezing the trigger the pellet went to its mark, one in the bag Lots of Buzzards overhead, and plenty of Pigeon flying about the place. Was approaching a gap in a hedge and had the shock of my life when a man and weoman came into view from around the corner, dont know who was more supprised I explained that they sh
  12. Hi Dean. Congrats on your new S200 mate, very nice accurate rifle. Nice shot, and good picture too, well done ATB. Bill.
  13. Hi Mike. Had to read your post again I would give mary a little more time before you get your Mauser out to play. As for having a rumble in the Vitara AND Videoing it,...... well......Im speechless.
  14. Hiya Jake. Congratulations on your first kill mate, well done you first of many for you I hope. The rifle looks very smart, and looks comfortable to shoot. Nice picture too. A quick tip for you Jake......the next time you drop a rabbit, leave it where it is, because the rabbits will hear your footfall when you walk up, and wont be keen to come back out, collect your kill when your ready to move Look forward to your next post. ATB. Bill.
  15. Hi Ste. How ya doin me old fruit bat ....glad you enjoyed the read Yes, the SE is a lovely bit of kit buddy, still getting to know her, but very pleased with the performance straight out of the box. Good solid build, and the accuracy of the BSA Barrels. The Scope is a Hawke Tac 30 half mil dot x20 mate, I thought my Sidewinder was good, but the Tac 30 takes some beating, very pleased with it. As for the grenade launcher  thats where I keep my flask buddy It does look a bit OTT, but serves a very useful purpose, wouldnt be without it now, summer or winter Well wort
  16. Hi Mike. Good write up mate, and very nice shooting. Glad to hear Mary is getting back on form. ATB. Bill
  17. Hi Mike. Cheers me dear.....and yes, very pleased with the SE. Looking forward to the next trip out with her. How is your good lady now, feeling better I hope? ATB. Bill.
  18. Hi all. Well the SE is now Christened. Went to one of my permissions with my mate Rich and his son John. This was Johns first trip with us to the ground, so after a quick briefing of the land, we were ready for the off. Rich went up on the high ground, and John went in the lower fields towards the river, I took the middle ground. It was warm and lots of bloody midges about, got a few nice bites I suppose I had made about 150 yds along the hedge and spotted a bunny just out from the hedge at around 35yds. Slowly I got down into prone, hoping he would move out a bit, and give
  19. Hi Mike. Sounds like your getting the hang of it ......60 + Mtrs is good shooting and the S10 is just the rifle to do it with, lovely rifle. Im fast becomming a BSA convert.....you cant beat thier barrels I dont think ( Personel oppinion ) and the bolt action is solidly built. ATB. Bill.
  20. Hi Moley. Well worth cleaning the barrel mate, get it ready for when 'er in doors is feeling better. Sorry to hear the opp went wrong for her, and hope she makes a speedy recovery very soon. Im supprised you havnt been out with the SE.........or do you fear for your life just looking at it ATB. Bill.
  21. Hi Si. Got to say I had the same thoughts as you when I saw the state of the cleaning patch, I thought the rifle had been used , so hearing from you that you had the same result is reasurring. I know they oil the barrels for storage purposes, but I reckon they must have used old sump oil Sounds like you have yours shooting nicely, some good ranges shot there. I have only put about 500 or so pellets through her at the moment, Ill give her another 500 and chrono again properly. Made the mistake of not cocking the rifle fully, and double loaded it, but she spat them out no prob
  22. Aye up Gary. Sorry to hear your crocked at the moment mate. How people have the nerve to take the piss out of someone elses misfortune, baffles me. As if the pain, and inconvienience arnt enough to deal with. Well, all I can say mate is get well soon, and hope to see you up and about again in the very near future. By the way..........Tell your lass I have plenty of Parrot food here, and a pair of crutches gathering dust, may have an eye patch too Take care.
  23. Hi Si. As already said, brilliant footage and shooting. That 25 is a real stopper for sure, good luck with her. ATB. Bill.
