    i would say yes after the other night out ,i went to show some one how good my dog was ,because this person was looking for a dog to line his bitch ,my dog looked a twat ,he had a few runs and mised every one ,usualy he would have caught them ,i will add ,the moon was up a bit ,it was also quiet with thick fog ,and there was 3 of us ,plus my dog could not stop craping he had a bad guts ,but i put his one and only terible performanc in 6 years down to living in the house ,i cant seem to find any other reason .     If it was just banter it wouldn't be so bad!Some of the things that are said on here can be just pure hateful and unpleasant,it dosen't bother me.But imagine how a young lad or lass just starting out in the game who's only place to get advice is this site would feel being belittled by some of these internet bullies!

    Thanks for all the replies I've put a lot of thought into this and i've decided what cross to use,my first choice was originally a whippet/greyhound but after a lot of thought i've decided on putting a 3/4grey 1/4 collie over her and hopefully fingers crossed i've found the right dog.Once again thanks for all the input and advice(good and bad)yis...john

    cheers so far for the info. keep it coming. still like to know if the owners think say for example that there better day dogs then lampers or maybe the other way round. all info appreciated the more im tolled the more i can learn of the breed and preformance cheers lads. My bitch was only used on the lamp until about a year ago which she excels at IMO but she took to day work like a natural,she's 6 now and had never seen a ferret or a rabbit in the day for that matter...I've had a few collie crosses and its their willingness to learn new things i find appealing,great dogs for the way i hun

    Just wondering if anybody knows of a vesectomised hob in the south wales area,the problem being is i own 3 jills and dont want kitts off all of them.I'm only planning on breeding the one jill and don't want to be stuck with baby ferrets that i can't really afford to keep,i would pay a small fee for the use of a hob and take my jills to wherever they had to go I've looked into the jill jab but if i have to keep taking them back to be jabbed again its something i cant really afford at this time,i am going to buy a hob and get him vesectomised just not financially viable at this moment so any
