  2. seen a few rats about near our garden over the weekend, there stables behind and allotments to the side so there obviously plenty about. whats the best trap to use? got kids , dogs and chickens so poison out, also lots of neighbours got cats. seen live traps on ebay for under £10 delivered, they any good? any advice on best trap and how to place appreciated cheers

  14. following on from another thread about first aid kits it got me wondering what people carry when out? i spend a lot of time well off the beaten track, just me and the dog. i got a small ex forces rucksack, it lives in the hall and i just pick it up on way out i carry a small first aid kit good knife goretex bivi bag- folds into racksack liner as a back protector maps of area, compass and gps, the gps a bit of a hobby and i trying to learn how to use it... dog whistle small torch lighter binoculars water bottle may seem a bit extreme to some but when your miles from nowhere an
  15. im new to this but always carry a first aid kit when off beaten track,its got the same gear for me and dog not 2 seperate kits, being pretty good at first aid having done my fair share i think its the basics you need. i carry medical tape compression bandage tweezers small wire cutters old razor my thinking is that its blood loss gonna kill me or dog, so tape and bandage, also for imobilising a broken limb. wire cutters for barbed wire etc( before someone says its for cutting off the dog not trashing fences, its amazing how much lying about)razor to remove fur to stop a bleed.tw
  16. hi im new to all this.... i have a year old lurcher , not 100% on the breeding but it half bearded collie, x grey/bull/beddie?? not totally sure, saw parents , mother was collie father was a tall greyhound cross with some bull and bit of other things.wish i'd taken a pic! he is a great dog, great with kids, recall great walks to heel, he retrieves but drops short? he is approx 22 1/2 inch to shoulder. he's my first working dog had a full collie before him. what i am wondering is? how do i get him to retrieve to hand? the ground we cover is either open moor, pine plantations

  18. i think it will look ok when done first but once the doors etc start to bubble due to the aluminium /steel reaction it will look shit.wonder if water will get behind it and kill your bulkhead? nato green or camo , mine was nato green , great to touch up when trashed!!
